A damn fine beer, I would drink it until my liver gave way. Nothing offensive at all, just beer bliss. Would get again fo sho.
not too dry, but fairly dry, bright hop flavor, very citrusy and juicy, pears, pineapple, hint of classic lager body. great beer.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2014 My Bottom Line:
From crisp cereal crackers bloom herbal and citrusy hops whose bitterness seems to rise into sandy and resinous realms. This India Pale Lager is yet another testament to this brewer’s prowess.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam laces nicely atop the clear golden.
-The nose is as assertive as the flavour profile that follows.
-The biscuit cereals have honeyed angles.
-The body is cracking with deft malts and the soft prickling of carbonation.
-This is really the best of two worlds: the flourishing hoppiness of West Coast IPAs and the crisp drinkability of Pilseners.
Bottle and on tap at their Linda Vista brewery.

Well, maybe this is a little misleading to say this is the BEST lager I’ve ever had. Incredible citrus/pine hop aroma pouring out of the glass. Fragrance is king in this beer - in fact it shapes the whole flavor profile. And it’s a lager! Amazing balance with the crisp finish and gold color.

Draught at McLoughlin’s. Dark gold with a nice foamy head. Grassy, citrus hop aroma, very ale like and very floral. Smooth pale malt flavor, with bit hops. A bit of pils-like biscuit malt flavor, and ale yeast taste. Just enough to remind you it is a lager. Smooth mouth, mellow and round. Huge bitter hop finish. Very interesting and well done.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad a couple months ago. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a good lacing white head. Aroma is ultra fresh hops that provide citrus, pine, and grass. Flavor is mostly grapefruit, slightly malty, quite dry with a solid bitterness. Medium to light bodied with generous carbonation.

Very big grapefruity nose that was enjoyable, but then all downhill from there. The odd lager yeast and hop combination gave this beer an almost phenolic taste that I really didn’t enjoy. Horrible aftertaste. The more I drank the lower the score went. Pass.

Crystal clear gold with a white head. Clean hoppy aroma. Grapefruit, citrus, some pine, a little grain, lemon peel. Medium bodied but very crisp. Flavor is packed full of the hops. Grapefruit, citrus, lemon peel, light pine, and just a touch of malt. Finish is dry and bitter. I was surprised at how well this worked. The crisp, clean flavors of a lager really let the hops shine through. Fantastic.

Tap at Daily Pint. Nose is nice fruity hops with very ephemeral quality. Taste is lemon zest concentrate, grass, very acidic hop juice. The finish is very dry and acidic and makes it sort of difficult to put down a pint IMO. But still a very interesting pour.
