3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Ballast Point. The beer pours to a glowing golden body with a white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. Flavor is bitter hops with a dash of sulfur. Lots of grains like an artisan bread. The palate is bitter and medium bodied.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 650 ml. bottle. Orange-copper-amber pour with a modest head. Nice aromas of pine intermixing with roasted bready malts. Overall clean. The body is medium and smooth. The taste is a bout a 60-40 hop-malt balance with the hops getting the upper hand leading to a lingering bitter finish. Just feels fresh all around.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Ginger Man, New York. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, caramel, some spices, some hops and malts. Quite weird. Did the barmeid give right beer?

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Meditrina. Golden clear with white head and a little lace. Grassy citrus wood lacquer crackery aroma. Mildly toasted cracker malt sweetness hints of honey and vanilla with assertive piney lingering bitterness. Medium body slightly sticky. NIce carbo. Very good. Drinks like an IPA until you pay attention. Then I think you notice that a good IPA is drier and more refreshing. Very good.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Purchased from the Fine Wine Delivery Co. in a 650ml bottle. High expectations on this brew as I’ve reciently enjoyed their Sculpin. Fair to say it’s yet another solid brew. Subtle noise, with light grassy and citrus peel aromas. The palate is very clean and shows great length. Just as with the Sculpin, for me, not one character stands out - its just complex awesomeness. So "cheers bro" to the U. S.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is reminiscent of the Sculpin, toned down a notch or two. Slightly hazy. Taste is hoppy, citrus and pine. Goes down too easy, dangerous with the ABV it has.
One of the best imperial lagers around.
Bottle from SB.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden orange color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather quickly, leaving a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is a rather interesting blend of tropical fruit aromas of tangerine, mango and pineapple mixed with a rather decent showing of a bready aroma. Some melon smells as well as a bit of a more herbal, citrus, and pine hop blend are in the nose as well, creating a rather interesting but inviting hopped brew aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a mix of a bready taste mixed with some tropical fruits of tangerine, mango, and pineapple as depicted in the nose. The tropical fruits fade however as the taste advances, being replaced by just a hint of a more melon like taste. All the while, the bready taste crisps up with it taking on a lightly more cracker like flavor. While light upfront, some hop flavors of a citrus, pine, and earthy nature grow stronger and stronger throughout the taste. The flavors that are left on the tongue at the end are joined by a little e bit of an herbal hop flavor, leaving a moderately hopped, but somewhat drier fruit taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. The thinner body and moderate carbonation are actually quite appropriate for the lager style of the brew, but slightly low in thickness for the hopped flavors of the brew. Overall, the feel was pretty nice.
Overall – A rather nice and tasty IPL with a nice mix of tropical fruits, bready tastes and a decent hop blend. A rather nice drinking IPL overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden orange, white head, and nice lacing. Floral, mild pine, mild citrus, mild lemon, and mild grain notes. Full bodied lager, nice balance, dry notes, floral-citrus throughout, and mild alcohol notes. High hop bitter, but not overwhelming due to balancing sweet malt.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Alibi, Seoul. Fruity hops aroma with tropical and red fruit, perhaps some strawberry. Clear amber under a lasting, clingy white cover. Strangely minty flavour (northern brewer hops?) along with some litchi fruit and stone fruit accents. Medium light body, almost crisp, moderate carbonation.
