4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled; color is light yellow with a golden center, lively carbonation produces a fine textured head with lacing. Aroma is grains/cereal, dry pine wood, apricot and orange and grapefruit citrus. Interesting flavor that has highlights of both cereal, biscuit and apple notes typical of lagering that transitions into a slap-in-the-face dose of peppery hops. Im really enjoying this one; the lack of the typical malty sweetness of a San Diego IPA leaves nothing but unadulterated hop flavor. A great deviation from the west coast IPA by a great brewery. I could drink this ALL DAY during a summer beach outing here in San Diego...

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, citrus and earthiness with a smooth dry lightly bitter lingering earthy finish.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Ballast Point Miramar. Pale yellow no head. Faint aroma of hay and honey. Taste is sweet and not unlike a German helles. Finish is quick and more of the same. Not a great beer and actually a bit disappointing.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Large Format - Golden orange color, very little head that dissipated really quickly. Slight sweet flavor but with a little bitterness, neither of which over powers the other flavor. The mix of styles leads to a weird taste, just a little to sweet for me.

Tasting session @ Budapest
Gold color, almost clear. Big white head. Lots of lacing. Not much aroma. Tastes like a hoppy Pilsner. OK.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 3/5/16. Pour to wine tasting glass (I don’t care, let me do what I want). Bright and clear, unmistakable gold. Spotty stucco lacing. Bready, doughy peppery malt on the nose, complemented by a stiff lemongrass and citrus peel, white flowers, faint bruised red apple underneath. Flavor has a nice pasty lager presence, bready, very gentle lemon zest and foliage, and same as the nose, some apple-y quality (possibly a result of blending hop/malt profiles and textures). I always find this one interesting. The lager presence is strong and amplified; doughy, pasty linger, with some lemon and bitter flower.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
355 cl can. Quite clear, golden amber, thick off-white head, nice lacing, medium carbonation. Aromas of wet grass and forest bottom, some citrus, some bready malts. Mouthfeel is oily and lightly carbonated, dry and bitter aftertaste. Taste is grassy, bitter-sweet with some hay notes to it. Not the greatest of beer in my humble opinion.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, light hops, citrus and some cereal malt. Light-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour at first of citrus, lemons, grass, hay and some flowers mixed in very lightly with some sweetness and yeast notes. Aftertaste shows the dry grassiness, some subtle hops and a bit of citrus. Overall, sadly, pretty underwhelming after expecting much more in terms of flavour and complexity, especially. This is very easy to drink and goes down easy and shows restraint and simplicity at somehow (doesn’t taste like it) 7,0% abv, but this doesn’t give much bang for the buck with sheer flavour and length - this would be decent for cutting the grass in the summertime, but there are much better options for that. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 31-January-2016 for US$6,89 sampled at home in Washington on 04-April-2016.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fresh code date, poured into snifter. Smells very bready and rather malty for being west coast. Tasted like a really old IPEH. Not a huge fan, really wanted s crisper finish.
