SDbruboy (1809), San Diego, California, USA Oct 30, 2004 Specialty ale on draft at the brewery. Slightly hazy amber with a creamy off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is dominated by the plentiful amarillo hops, slightly malty/grainy sweet with lots of grapefruit and pine notes. Tastes kinda like a good IPA but with a sharper malted flavor from the rye and the characteristic citrus and pine from the hops. Lingering hop bite as welll. Medium body and smooth carbonation. Nice l’il homebrew from Ballast Point.
