On tap at Beachwood BBQ, Seal Beach, poured into shaker pint. Appearance is clear orange-amber with a finger and a half of white head that lasts and leaves patchy lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, mango, pineapple, pine, and biscuit malt. Taste is hoppy citrus bitterness with a fading pine note followed by a balancing malty sweetness. Medium bodied, slightly oily texture, average carbonation, just to the bitter side of balanced on the finish.

On draft at Chuckís 85th as part of a 4-beer sampler. Nice grassy, herbal, earthy aroma, some light malt. Color is reddish brown, great amount of mottled, white head, lace on the sides that lingers with each sip. Nice balance of bitterness and sweetness, Very much a traditional pale ale in terms of its flavor profile, as opposed to an IPA. But does not have the buttery character of an English PA like Bass Ale. Rich body considering the relatively low alcohol content. Smooth finish where the hops really comes out. Great beer from a great brewery.

>> Pours hazy deep orange with thicker, beige/cream foam. Good retention and thick, webby lacing. Nose is big citrus hops, red grapefruit, hop forward. Underlying bread rolls. Taste is citrus hops forefront, toffee, biscuit, soap and paper. Balance is strongly bitter. Paper makes me think this keg is old or heat damaged. Body is medium-full. Aftertaste is dry, bitter, chalky. Carbonation is high/prickly. No alcohol warmth. Body seems full enough body to warrant IPA over APA.

Deep, clear gold. Dank, almost funky hop character before a crisp, clean finish. Everything I could want in a pale ale.

Orange brown. Nice tropical fruit elements on the nose. Caramel malt body, but nice hops to round out. Nice APA here.

Tap at Eureka, University Village Seattle. First WA rate? In any case, a nice find!

Copper pour, foamy dimpled head. Amazing aroma -- this is easily the leafiest APA Iíve ever smelled. So inviting, an herb garden on a summerís day. Add to this a bit of Mosaic character and youíve got something really special. The flavor canít possibly live up, but itís very nice, not too powerfully hopped, just delicious. Great beer.

Awesome hop cocktail here with two great strains. Wonderful piney top with grapefruit and light peel zest. Pours clear orange with great head and lacing. Medium bitter finish, and a smooth, slick texture. Great, well-balanced palate. Nice stuff. Tap at Churchkey.
