UPDATED: FEB 15, 2015 On tap at Beachwood BBQ, Seal Beach, poured into shaker pint. Appearance is clear orange-amber with a finger and a half of white head that lasts and leaves patchy lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, mango, pineapple, pine, and biscuit malt. Taste is hoppy citrus bitterness with a fading pine note followed by a balancing malty sweetness. Medium bodied, slightly oily texture, average carbonation, just to the bitter side of balanced on the finish.

Draft at Ballast Point. Golden pour. Aroma of tropical fruit, mango and citrus. Taste of soft tropical fruit, citrus, bitter grassy hops and some veggie herbs. Can’t resist the mosaic.

Great hop character, though the bitterness was a bit sharp. Balanced and sessionable. Classic example.

Una American Pale Ale de color dorado con baja carbonatación. Su aroma es a lúpulo, con toques cítricos, pomelo y frutos tropicales. Su sabor es amargo resaltando el lúpulo, pomelo, hierbas y un toque de durazno. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a semi-clear golden pale yellow colored brew with a large sized off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of grassy and citrus along with a touch of fruit. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of golden grain malt, some fruity esters and a touch of grassy hops. Finish is semi-dry with a mild spiced grassy hop aftertaste that quickly disappears. A hybrid American Pale Ale and Golden Ale? Pretty much sums it up.

12 oz. can. Clear, orange-amber with a loose cobweb of foam. Aroma is sticky resin, mild citrus zest, earthy tea leaf and toffee. Flavors of all the same stuff in a great mix. A little bit of peppery toast and mint in the long finish. Light-medium bodied with a smooth medium carbonation and a very sessionable balance.
