2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
They arenít kidding about the habanero. A pepper beer for pepper beer lovers. Not really me. Surprising bitterness but this beer is defined by the pepperiness. Wish I had had someone to share this with, since the last third was rough.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Damned if you do and damned if you donít, this habanero IPA blisters at the end, but it has a peppery, pepper fruit profile that precedes the burn... every time. Really good mixed with pineapple and grapefruit sculpin to balance the heat and citrus...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a single bottle, the smell is of sculpin and very unassuming and just when you start to taste all the IPA qualities this blast of habenero hits me burning into my ears, I enjoyed it, didnít drink any water and saved 5oz. for the chili Iím making.

Spice like you would think. Poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Lingering spice finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a clear golden color. Aroma starts out with apricot and mango then finishes with intense pepper aroma. Tastes like spicy hot pepper bread. Citrus and tropical hops mixed in. It's ok. There is a spicy habanero saison made by Aviator that I like much better

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Habanero at the forefront, gently in aroma, moreso in taste, and plenty of burn at finish. Orange golden body with fluffy head. Peppers pretty much obliterate any sign of the Sculpin base, but add some character all their own.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
355 ml, bottle conditioned. Pale golden colour, nice carbonation, thin head, lots of powdery sediments floating. Spicy and hoppy notes to the nose, but very subtle. First sip give a hot bomb from the habanero, itís really burning. Itís not easy to get any other flavours than burning chili, but some tropical fruits are back there somewhere. Too much chili for my taste. If I want chili, I eat chili. If I want beer, I drink beer. SImple as that.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver
Hazy dark blond color. Immediately the aroma comes through with resiny and fruity hops. Good dry malt base, good resiny hops; itís hot, just the right amount for me.
Iím not a fan of the idea, but if you have to brew a chili IPA, this is how. Iíd gladly drink this one with some grilled meat.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
355 ml. bottle sampled @ ďSir Goatie McGoat S&G TastingĒ. Thank you Mathieu87 and/or PriorL! Regular, Grapefruit, Pineapple & Habanero sampled side-by-side. Darker looking than the others. Nose is nice chili burn, no vegetable notes, chili obscures most other things. Taste is nice big oily chili, nicely lingering, good burn, no vegetable notes, base is largely obscured, low malts & pine, burns nice, not that much here besides Habanero which is just fine by me & great if you love chili. Up next they will release a habanero & pineapple version I hope.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a slightly hazy yellowish gold with a small off white head that retained through out the beer. The aroma is mostly tropical fruits and some pepper. The taste is like a normal sculpin up front with the hop bitterness and tropical fruits with some heat coming at the back end. Novelty beer worth a try but the worst of all the sculpins.
