3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Bishops Arms Hornsgatan. Clear, golden / copper, white fluffy head. Wow, the aroma hits hard, pepper, chilli and mango, kind of punches the inside of my nose. Medium body, strong and hot, oily mouthfeel. The taste burns with a big bite. Chili pepper and tropical fruit. The heat and pepper dominates, there are more flavors under the heat, but its hard to taste them.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ BrewDog Gbg. Pours clear golden with a rather small frothy offwhite head that leaves some thick trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty, fruity and spicy with caramel, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, red chilli, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, slightly fruity and heavy spicy. Mouthfeel is astringent, spicy hot and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, caramel, grapefruit, red habanero, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. I like habanero but this is pretty much carpet bombing of the base beer. All that remains is the habanero and we’re not talking the aromatic and fruity orange kind but the pretty much just hot red supermarket kind.

AR: bready, dried tropical fruits
AP: clear coppery, frothy white head
F: hot metallic habanero chili, cucumber, lemon juice, perhaps you could use it when making food for spicing things up, to hot - didn’t enjoy it all

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Grapefruit and habanero. Clear gold with a decent white head. Habanero heat and some grapefruit with a peppery finish. Not bad, but the heat overpowers the IPA. I would rather have the original.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber pour. Nose of slightly vegetal habanero pepper with some nose-twitching tinge. Minty pine and some peach. Holy habanero Batman! This one is spicy. Initial caramel malt before caving to big pepper flavor. Trailing notes of burn pepper, peach, and faint mango. Oh yeah! Pepper beer that gets the heat right.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours an orange brew with a white top. Nose is caramel, citrus and pepper. Taste starts piney then the pepper kicks in and dominates. Those that like heat like me will enjoy.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear gold with a thick off white head. Aroma is mellow piney hops with a habanero twang. Taste is like a laid back hop getting his ass beat by a habanero. I say that, but it’s actually quite good. I can’t say that it’s perfectly balanced, but I like it. The habanero is not metallic like habaneros can be. Instead you get some prickly heat with a little sweetness from beginning to finish. As for the IPA component, he’s getting up off the floor cause he got his ass beat. Awesome match!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear amber pour with a white head. Citrus hop and peppery nose. This one brings the heat. More enjoyable as my tastebuds become more numb to the heat. I like this, hoppy and hot.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Beer House Chicago in Lombard, IL. as a 5 oz. serving dispensed to a flight/fest glass, showing a clear, golden color, with a persistent layer of off white head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was lightly herbal, with some floral hints that reminded me of pomander-like lavender. Pacified by the mellow intro, the taste surprised me with a consistent pepper & heat that supplanted any fruitiness or alcohol on my palate. Even the hint of sweetness didn’t assuage the warmth. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, and a mild creaminess to the mouthfeel. Tasty, and cleared the sinuses at the same time!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Charles Street Liquors, Boston. Pleasant fruity aroma aroma, with only a tiny hint if pepper. Spicy pepper taste. So much hot pepper. Hints of a nice citrusy ipa in there, with a spicy finish. Surprisingly good chili beer.
