Our Sculpin IPA is a great example of what got us into brewing in the first place. After years of experimenting, we knew hopping an ale at five separate stages would produce something special. The result ended up being this gold-medal winning IPA, whose inspired use of hops creates hints of apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors, but still packs a bit of a sting, just like a Sculpin fish.

Good smell and taste with creamy citrus tones. The strength of the habanero quickly douses all other taste and the finish is nothing but pepper.

Draught Tre små rum. Stinging chili aroma, fruit, some butter. Very straightforward habanero taste, quite hot actually, underneath it peach, pineapple, grapefruit, pine. This must be the best non-black chili beer I’ve had.

On tap at 3 små rum, Göteborg. Hazy golden Amber with white head. Smell is regular sculpin with hoppy pine, fruit, grapefruit and floral. When it gets warmer the beer gets a slightly hot chili aroma. Taste is hoppy floral, grapefruit and pine and resin. The mouthfeel is very hot habanero that kicks in in the aftertaste. Dry medium bitterness and medium carbonation. Interesting, but maybe too hot to have many of.

On tap at coalhouse pizza. Heat really kicks it and a full mouthfeel with the hops as passenger.

Bottle from Brewdog webshop, consumed at home Thursday 16th July 2015 Orangey gold in colour with a filmy white head. Quite thick in the mouth, nice consistency, lovely. Woah....Flying Fuckpigs this is soooo hot, but the heat, sweetness and bitterness works very well, really mushy mexican chilli paste. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottled. Pours hazy amber with an avarage sized off-white head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, mpeach, caramel peppery notes and pine. Sweet flavor that ends up quite dry and nice bitter with some chili too. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice chili IPA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
