3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A golden amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, interesting mix of biscuit malt, floral hops, and hot pepper, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with floral hops and loads of hot pepper, burning, not bad. On tap at Breukelyn Bier Merchants.

Tap, pours a nice golden, aroma is a nice citrusy ipa, taste is a nice hop with some lemon zest and good bitterness, that finishes with a sharp burn of the peppers, overall nice stuff

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at a sampling event. From notes. Slight citrus hops and grains start out. Then immediately to very hot pepper notes. Very good, but nothing I would drink again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ BeerJunction. Pours orangish dark golden with medium white head. Aroma is earthy, citrusy hops with a hint of spicy heat. Taste is clean light caramel malt that is quickly overwhelmed by sharp habanero heat. Hops appear under the spicy heat on the finish, but the peppers never relent in controlling the flavor here. It’s the Sculpin you know and love, with heavy pepper heat laid over it. Definitely unique, but much of the appeal of Sculpin was the light, aromatic, perfectly balanced hops and that’s mostly lost here to the heat.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly hazy light amber. Big hop smell with slight hot pepper scent. Big early hop front that slides into a nice burn. Finishes on a habanero taste but balances with the bitter hops well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of habanero peppers, maybe some slight hoppy notes lingering. Flavour is extremely spicy, with loads of habanero pepper without destroying the palate. The hops are still somewhat present, but the peppers dominate. Really well done - quite the punch in the mouth without being absurdly overwhelming.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours darker yellow finger white head.
Smell huge grapefruit and citrus.
Taste is really hot habenero up front, dying down to the base beer ipa notes, tropical fruit.
Light and drinkable, decent amount of heat.
Good chili beer.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light spice and citrus aroma. Darker golden in color with a thin white head. Nice spicy start with a bit of copper. Surprisingly smooth finish for such a spicy start.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice citrus aroma but mild. Cloudy orange with a foamy white head. Good balance on the IPA flavors and malt. Peppers leave a burning sensation on the back of the throat which is as pleasant as it is unusual. Nicely done.
