3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dug this quite a bit. The habanero dominates the flavor a bit too much but a good chili IPA. Still some tropical notes but with a strong mouth burn in the finish.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma is a grapefruit hoppiness. Pours an orange red color with a bit of head. Taste bracingly peppery. It covers up everything else. Nearly completely. Thereís a tiny bit of hops at the beginning and then pepper. Nice carb and thickness.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lovely dark orange IPA. The nose is fresh and hoppy with a tropical fruit aroma with some fruity pepper flesh too. Bam! Thatís the goodness. Just the right heat for me. Really does justice to the fruitiness of the pepper. Canít say Iíd drink it a lot but I love it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light orangish gold with a finger of head and aromas of... well... not much. A little bit of heat comes through as well as some bready malt, but the hops presence is hiding as far as Iím concerned. Flavor here is lots of heat and a little bit of Sculpin-Like goodness, but it seems like the habanero destroys the hops profile.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Nose of light malt, big pepper, cabbage. Medium straw color. Slight sweet malt, rich and buttery and a bit vegetal for a split second, then the peppers kick in and take over completely. Medium body, quite scorching on the tongue. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Very different. This sort of thing works much better in a heavier beer, such as Indra Kunindra. Here, it just seems a waste of Sculpin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Look: pours dark gold. Bright white head. Little bits of something floating in it.
Smell: pepper flesh. Orange. Citrus.
Taste: lots of pepper. Feel the burn all the way down. Slight citrus and orange. Pepper just takes over.
Feel: medium carbonation. Should be dry but not sure too much pepper.
Overall: wow lots of pepper. Pepper overwhelms all other flavors that could be there.
First drank: home 2/16/15

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into tulip. Minneapolis.
Pours hazy copper in color. Small white head.
Aroma is fruity - citrus and some tropical notes. Much more muted than original sculpin or other varietals. I dont detect any of the heat on the nose.
Taste is mildly sweet upfront, then quickly transitions into spice. Heat is definitely strong, and builds over time, although I think it becomes more pleasant after the initial shock wanes.
Medium body with soft carbonation. Spicy finish is LONG.
This was a fun beer to try, but I would rate it last of the sculpin beers. Glad I split a 6er of this with a friend.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber pour with a medium head.
Aroma of caramel, citrus hop and green pepper. Flavour is nice caramel and piney, citrus hop on front transitioning to a decent amount of heat on the back of the tongue and throat an a vegetal green pepper finish that is not unpleasant.

12 oz bottle. Aroma: hints of vegetables and hay. Taste/Palate: finishes bitter, with a vicious, unpleasant pepper burn.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 12. Pours clear and amber. Aroma has a strong spice to it. Flavor is completely spicy. It burns, but it burns so good. Unlike other super hot pepper beers the one is very well balanced. Itís not spicy first and watery later. It is spicy hot! Definitely a beer to have with snacks.
