3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Global Brew. Pours a clear yellow/gold with a thin white head. Aroma is hops and grass. Taste is a smooth but hoppy IPA with some sweet pale malt and the Habanero burn in the throat after the swallow. Pretty good, but you need to be in the mood for the heat.

A for effort but habanero is too overpowering. Too peppery but other sculpin is good.

Yeah so this is an ipa with a serious Habanero kick. Nice experiment but IMO Habanero as opposed to Chipotle or whatever is just too spicy for a beer

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Interesting beer. The aroma was a nice aroma of balanced floral hops and some citrus. The taste started out as a good IPA flavor.. floral, piny hops and what not, but finished very spicy. The spiciness lingered on the tongue forever.. at least longer than I would like. The body had a nice crisp smoothness, but the spiciness was more than Iíd like from a beer. In fact, I donít know if I can finish the whole thing because of the spiciness. I guess Iím a wimp.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mango, grapefruit, kiwi, sweet resiny, spicy chile aroma. Cloudy honey gold with a thick foamy white head that sticks around for quite a while. Lots of grapefruit. But not so bitter that itís overpowering. A nice amount of chile heat and flavor. This is very well balanced and very smooth. It has a crisp finish but then a bit of an after-warmth in the throat. Pretty good stuff.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium to thick, well retained, off white head, with some lacing, over a clear, light amber (SRM 9) body.....nose is light cereal, heavy grapefruit, pine from the hops, mild habanero, balance to the hops......taste is light cereal, with hints of sweetness to start, with heavy grapefruit, pine, resin from the hops, becoming hot from the chile, finishing with hop bitterness, balanced.......mouth feel, medium body, slightly sticky, mild alcohol, carbonation high. As an S/H/V beer this is quite successful. The underlying beer is quite present and is well done. The chile comes in slightly in aroma, and then in flavors late enough to tell that the IPA was well done. The habanero then is utterly dominant with great heat, as one would expect from a 500,000 Scoville unit chile. The burn from an habanero is usually fairly short. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle into snifter glass, clear golden-orangy color with off-white head. Aroma notes of grapefruit leaning fruity hops, some grass, some malt sweetness and hot pepper. Taste adds notes of caramel sweetness, pine hop bitterness and towards the end the habanero pepper does quite a spicy kick. Light-medium body, moderate-low carbonation, dry with pepper spice really lingering. Itís a beer with habanero, it will kick you with spicy heat. Interesting take on this popular IPA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours deep clear orange with a big bubbly white head. Aroma is heavy with grassy & grapefruit hops, obviously a blast of spicy habanero pepper in there. Taste is pine & grapefruit hop up front, then the heavy cayenne & habanero kick in... the spice lingers for quite some time. In my opinion this is pretty great, but my tolerance for HEAT is HIGH. I wouldnít really want more than 8oz of it

1.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Meditrina. Clear golden orange with head and lace. Nice citrus tropical fruit hop aroma with a hint of spicy hot pepper. Mild tropical fruit honey sweetness with frigging spicy, throat-burning lip burning habanero. Ouch. I guess there might be people who could drink this. I wonder if people drink it more than once by choice. Iím drain pouring it so my rating must reflect that.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Not for me. Pours clear golden with lots of head and clumpy lacing. Nose is fruity and not much hint of the spice. Flavours have some initial citrus fruit but then a massive spice attack, burying anything else. Taste med bitter and MASSIVE slice. Body is all spicy bite.
