Bottle. Hate to be flippant about it, but this one is easy: itís just Sculpin with habanero in it. The only useful information I can impart: head retention and lace donít seem to be diminished, the nose is a strong indicator of what is to come, and the level of habanero can be well described as fiery -- great for chili heads but way too much for my mother. Deadens just about everything else, save for a smidgen of apricot and medium bitterness. Bonus: the malt actually comes out to play after acclimation and melds really well with the heat. Actual synergy!

Ick. I really donít like pepper beers Iím finiding. This has a long-lasting spicy bite, that basically takes the greatness of this beer and ruins it for me.

On tap. Clear dark golden with a fluffy white head. Strong pepper aroma and some hops on the nose. Taste is all hot pepper with a lot of capsicum on the finish. Not my thing.

Man you guys are pussies. This heat is perfect. Unfortunately it takes away from the hops. This also benefits from a fantastic base beer

Draft. Pours a golden body with a white head. Light floral grapefruit tones get lost among a huge pepper, dried pepper, and spicy pepper notes. I donít eat many peppers so i have to be a bit non-discript. Huge heat tones, loads of pepper quite hot actually, for me. Just had a bit of a this and it works, why because the base beer is awesome. Of course iíd rather have the base beer without the peppers, still a fun experiment.

12oz bottle of liquid heat. Poured a clear deep gold body with a smaller to average white creamy head. Aroma of habanero pepper, curry, Indian food, wet grains, bad bread, old citrus. Medium body, loads of heat, average carbonation. Flavor is more peppery than the aroma. I like, hot hot hot.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Resin and mild pepper aromas. Sweet resin and caramel upfront quickly turning to an oily pepper that lasts through the long lip-smacking hot pepper finish. Nice, but not a lot of sculpin.
