COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Sculpin IPA is a great example of what got us into brewing in the first place. After years of experimenting, we knew hopping an ale at five separate stages would produce something special. The result ended up being this gold-medal winning IPA, whose inspired use of hops creates hints of apricot, peach, mango and lemon flavors, but still packs a bit of a sting, just like a Sculpin fish.

On draft at bruery provisions. Clear golden color nice white head. Aroma is sweet mango and peppers. Taste like regular sculpin with a kick. Good stuff

Amazing, great hops and the spice that pairs with hops, all in one glass! It’s the thin, dry, citrus you know frmo sculpin with the peppers hitting the back side and providing a burning peppery finish. Get it if you can.

Draft pour. Aroma of hops and spice. Has a good hoppy flavor that is overwhelmed with spice. I like it, but can see how it would turn someone away. Not the most drinkable beer out there, but good overall.

Draft at Ballast Point. Pours a bright orange. Nose has grapefruit, citrus, chilli and pepper. Taste is upfront chilli and peppers with a citrus/grapefruit backing. Slow burn from the chilli. Great showcase with of the habanero chillis. Brings out so much of the flavour. Top shelf. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden amber with thin rimming beige head; aroma is hops, grapefruit; flava has habanero pepper upfront and prominent, very spicy, not for those who do not like hot spicy flavas! but there is more underneath the heat some hints of citrus; fleels light to medium; finishes spicy zingy on the throat and lips with some hints of hops-- PS-- probably great with a plain cheese pizza!

Label says "hear May vary". Pours clear copper color with white head. Aroma is juicy citrus, tropical fruits, mango, pine, and that beautiful habanero pepper spiciness. Flavor is big juicy grapefruit, mango, and tropical fruits. Grapefruit and pine finish with habanero pepper spiciness. Substantial amount of heat. Peppery heat left lingering on tongue. This brew is the real deal. One of the few beers with spicy peppers that delivers. If you can’t handle spicy food you have no business trying this brew.

12oz bottle pours a yellow amber color with a bit of head. Habanero in the aroma. Very intense habanero flavor that overpowers everything. More chili in this beer than any other I've tasted. Lips are burning. The chili flavor tastes like fresh habaneros, not just the usual burning sensation of other chili beers.

Pours a golden amber color with a white head. Hop, habanero, citrus, floral and malt aroma. Big habanero pepper, some citrus, floral and malt flavors. Rather hot. Good but spice completely masks the taste of the beer. Spicy lingering finish.

12oz bottle pours hazy dark amber with a finger of head. Nose has soke vegetal spice, not much hops, some pepper. Taste is one dimensional with overpowering heat that borders on unpleasant, a hint of stale malt grain and herbal vegetal spice. Pretty much no hop fruitiness or citrus detected. Finishes with a burning hotness and no other real flavors. I love chili beers but this was rough. If you want to basically drink a chili peper than you might enjoy this novelty beer but it’s just that-a novelty. Not very good. Was struggling after a few ounces.

Dug this quite a bit. The habanero dominates the flavor a bit too much but a good chili IPA. Still some tropical notes but with a strong mouth burn in the finish.
