4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft for a very short time at the Whole Foods Fair Lakes in Virginia - I’ve been told this was the only keg in the state. Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head, just like the regular Sculpin. Aroma was citrus, some light biscuit malt notes, no pepper spice notes to speak of. However, the flavor is something else, the flavor is some citrus hops, but with a ton of lasting heat backing, not too burning, but a pleasant, lasting heat that packs a slightly mean punch.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of only pepper skins and faint hops. Gold/copper appearance with a thin foam rim. Taste is overwhelming pepper heat, so much so that the sculpin is completely subdued. Overall, it does say "heat may vary’ on the bottle but, unfortunately heat is all I taste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Ballast Point Tasting Room and Kitchen.
A: clear, amber with a semi-durable tan head and limited lacing. Fine clariy.
Aroma: habaneros and hops in near equal balance.
Flavor: Wow! lots of habanero flavor here and medium-high hotness. The most chili flavor I’ve encountered in a beer, and one of th hottest.
Feel: Medium body with soft, medium carbonation. Medium+ heat.
O: an exceptional IPA well worth seeking out. Available in 6 packs.

Great as a taster because the habanero is stronger than the beer. Had on tap in a 4 oz glass and couldn't imagine drinking a full glass.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz Bottle (thanks for saving me one, Alex!). Pours a clear, amber with medium white head, so-so retention and not much lacing. Nose is tropical fruit (mainly mango and passion fruit with some citrus), cakey malts, melon. Mouth is medium bodied, relatively dry -- and the heat doesn’t kick in right away. Bits of caramel, lemon, white pepper, and the distinctive flavor that habaneros bring to the table... then the heat kicks in. I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of chilis in my beer (and this is one of the more pronounced chili-infused beers I’ve had) but this actually is pretty good, although I wouldn’t exactly run out and buy another one as the novelty would likely wear off quickly. Be warned though: I eat Mexican/Cajun/Indian/Jamaican food on a regular basis, so this doesn’t taste as spicy to me as it very well may to someone who dines mainly on more traditionally American-styled cuisine... there are those who will find this undrinkable due to the heat.

12oz bottle from Craftshack. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of sweet citrus, light on the habanero spice, lemon zest, and floral hops. Taste of grapefruit, lemon, pine, and a decent peppery habanero burn in the finish. Solid

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Mekong, Richmond. Pours a clear light orange with lasting bone white head. Aroma is Sculpin with barely perceptible habanero. Flavor is habanero a upfront and all the way back. Wow this beer is hot and delicious. Lingering heat in the finish. Lovely in small quantities.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle of liquid heat. Poured a clear deep gold body with a smaller to average white creamy head. Aroma of habanero pepper, curry, Indian food, wet grains, bad bread, old citrus. Medium body, loads of heat, average carbonation. Flavor is more peppery than the aroma. I like, hot hot hot.

Nice orangey color. Aroma is hops, citrus, pine with a nice spicy habanero smell. Taste is citrus with a predominant spiciness. A good one, but just have one cause your stomach will have a hard time. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear copper with a perfect 2 finger head. Aroma is citrus, sweet malt and some light vegetal pepper notes. Taste adds orange, lemon, peach and intense habanero flavor and heat. Heat is pretty much at my comfort threshold. It's substantial but isn't painful and doesn't completely mask the other flavors. Crime and Punishment this is not. Medium mouthfeel and carb. Shocked how much I enjoyed this.
