COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special blend of 5 different sour beers (some dating back to 2011). This was made for Beachwood BBQs 2011 Sour Fest.

3.1
   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 12/20
iowaherkeye (2690) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - NOV 11, 2011
Draught at Old Grove location. Hazy auburn, small off-white, low retention. Aroma of stinky socks (not good and funky, just wet and stinky sour), nondescript fruity tang to go with some Ludens cough drops, but with more medicine. Flavor has some old wood, stone fruit with a little tartness, cough syrup, some acetone, a not of leather, and some diacetyl. Sourness peaked at a 3-4, semi-dry, dirty bitterness peaking at a 2.5. Low carbonation, light to medium body. Not the greatest sour Ive had.

5.5 oz pour at the Sour Fest. Aroma of funk and soap. Tried near the end of a lot of samples.

A: The beer pours a sort of hazy red color with a small white head. S: This smells bad. Really bad. Quite a bit of very ripe cheese, camenbert, perhaps. Its very bacterial with a mild butter note. There is really only a light tartness and mild metallic and vinegar qualities to it. T: Despite the incredibly off-putting aroma, the flavor is sort of just bland. Its got quite a bit of oak but just a light tartness. A pretty hefty dose of metal along with vinegar and mild to moderate butter flavors. M: Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. O: The aroma on this was nearly unforgivable. The flavor was just bland and watery, and not very good.
