3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle to a snifter
A - Pours black with a small kahki head that vanishes pretty quick. Not a trace of lacing.
S - Fresh cut cedar/pine wood off the initial pour, strong spices, madras curry, cardamom, cumin, black peppercorns, lavender, purfumy.
T - Spices galore, sharp black pepper, cumin, turmeric, madras curry, basil, coriander, thereís some chili heat in there as well. Thereís a salty sharpness in there that cuts through the spice. With the exception of some roasted malts, the spices basically drive the train taking over any other yeast, malt or hop that could be present. Finishes spicy with a solid dose of chili heat left on the palate.
M - Low carbonation, itís thin but heavy liquid, finishes dry and oily with chile heat.
This screams Indian food. If you donít like it, chances are you probably wont like this beer. Itís a full on curry spice assault on the palate. Good chili heat as well. The bottle version seems to be hotter in terms of chile spice than on tap. Curry lovers, you have found your beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Nearly black with ruby edges. A few floaties. Aroma is coconut curry, heavy on the cumin. Tastes are similar. Starts sweet and transitions to some heat at the end. Very interesting beer if you are in to these flavors, as I am.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a thick black with about one finger of head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is intense! Lots of spicy notes, coconut, a hint of lime. The taste is also very strong! A little too intense for my liking. The curry and cayenne heat that comes in on the finish is intense. Overall, I appreciate the complex brewing that this beer takes to make!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft - Curry powder and cinnamon with the slightest touch of chocolate. Jet black with a thin brown head. Curry, coconut, dark roast and some chilli spice. If you think chicken wing flavoured chips are cool, you will like this. I donít see the point.

Very interesting idea...best by 02JAN13
Pours black with a edge and some etch of mocha foam. Smells like curry mix in the spice jar still - profoundly strong. Oddly, the lime comes through and actually as it warms I think the cumin is what may put this over the edge for appreciation. I love curry, and I love cumin, but a little too much here. Flavor is like biting into a cumin, kaffir, massamun curry ball with a bit of cocoa and coffee. I canít stress this enough: THE BEER NEEDS TO WARM UP SUBSTANTIALLY. Medium bodied with moderated carb and a relatively dry finish.
