Tons of cumin in the aroma and the body. The spices as a whole where overwhelming at first and overly sweet at the end. Overall, a beer I really didnít enjoy.

20121215 750ml from Canalís in Marlton, NJ. This one inspired me to log in for a rare online rate. Darkest cola brown with fleeting beige head then sort of flat and dull looking. Macaroon aroma with mild peat and light milk chocolate. Body is soft, creamy, coating, sticky. Flavor is spot on for the description: a nice coconut curry with slight hints of lime and a mild peppery burn. Love this beer, and at seven percent I could drink a mess of it. Wait, itís curry flavored so it should be a nice hangover cure, too, right? Excellent stuff.

Dark pour from Valhalla. Light small head. Cocunuts and curry smell and dominate the taste with the cayenne coming on. Fascinating beer but probably best in small doses

La noix de coco, le cumin et le cayenne síunissent au chocolat pour me gifler de saveurs!! Plus elle se rťchauffe, plus le curry et le cumin performent. «a fonctionne.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours black with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aromas of curry, cumin, a little chocolate. Taste is strong curry, cayenne, and cumin. Decent malty backbone thatís rich and slightly sweet. Finish is sweet with a lingering spicy warmth. Seems a little overly aggressive in spice but overall a very enjoyable experience.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a small soda-like light brown head. The aroma is by far the strangest Iíve ever experienced with any beer. The lime is what stands out most, with coconut, curry, and a light background of roasted malt. Taste is equally bizarre, starts off rather stout-like, but quickly changes, more lime and coconut, and stronger curry flavors, lots of coriander and cumin, taste is relatively sweet overall. Finish is very spicy, almost enough to make me sweat, but that seems almost necessary. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. This is by far the strangest beer Iíve ever had. That being said itís pretty good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours black with thick tan head that quickly recedes to nothing. Nose is pretty crazy - big coconut aroma, some lime. Smells like a tropical drink or suntan lotion. Flavor is coconut, a more pronounced lime flavor, some curry, a decent amount of heat. Thick mouthfeel. Really unique.

Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, cocoa, coconut, rich spice, & vanilla; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, chili peppers, curry, chocolate, and citrus (notably lime); Finish is quite hot; Interesting brew - but can be a bit much at times.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Deep brown body with a fizzy, beige head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of chocolate, spices, cumin, coconut, lime, pepper. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is peppery hot. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Hereís how it goes with this beer. For the first second itís in your mouth, you get a wash of flavors that work really well together: chocolate, curry coconut, roasted malts, spice. Then, bam, the cayenne pepper washes away all of that, its heat lingering long into the finish. The server said the difference in this pepper beer was that you could drink a lot of it. I disagree. I was tired of it three-quarters of the way through. Itís unique, for sure. I was prepared after the first few ounces to give it a big rating. But I changed my mind as I walked away from it after 5 ounces to order a different beer.
