Bottle. Hearty very dark brown pour. Room-filling aroma of exotic spices: lots of cumin, pepper, and chocolate. Sweet chocolate malt gets buried under a sensory overload of curry spice: lots of cumin, coconut, kaffir lime, and vegetal pepper. Finish is moderate to high peppery spicy heat deep in the throat. The flavours really pop in this beer, but are quite overwhelming. As a "foodie beer" lover, this was almost too much for me, but it was probably the most interesting food beer I’ve yet tried.

Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, cocoa, coconut, rich spice, & vanilla; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, chili peppers, curry, chocolate, and citrus (notably lime); Finish is quite hot; Interesting brew - but heat can be a bit much at times.

Draft at Olympic. From notes. Coffee, chocolate and curry. Spicy but a quick heat. Great with my burger.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Black with a thin tan head. Coconut, lime, curry, chili paste and graham crackers. Sweet coconut that morphs into curry momentarily before a nice lingering peppery burn. Body is heavier with a creamy, fizzy feel. Awesome execution of curry in a beer, seems like you should side of naan.

On tap at Ballast Point. Pours a very dark brown colour, almost black, with a nice tan head. Aroma is really interesting with the curry, cumin, and cayenne spice scents standing out; it’s also got a nice sweet coconut aroma too. Taste is mildly sweet throughout, a little spicy with a a slight dry bitterness as well. Medium body, flatter carbonation, and creamier on the palate. Overall a really cool stout that turns out well.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a blackish brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of indian food. Curry. Meat and cumin notes. Mild pepper and lime. Flavor is meaty, umami, with cumin and cayenne notes. Some roast, some dark malt notes. Interesting. Lingering heat in the finish.

Far too sweet for me to have very often, but I mostly enjoyed this bottle. It pours a dark chocolate brown with a thin, spotty head. The aroma is warm, sweet, and spicy. I definitely pick up on the pepper and cumin, and some of the toasted coconut. The flavor is sweet up front, with caramel and fig notes, and then a ton of spice hits mid tongue. On the exhale there is a lot of cayenne pepper, walnuts, and mild chocolate.

Had to pour it out. Way to much spices. I could smell it the second I opened it. Not buying again.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Deep brown pour, khaki head. Aroma makes me think spicy chai tea. Taste brings chocolate, molasses (pretty sweet this one), chai, and a nice zippy back of the throat pepper heat. Medium+ body, good carbonation. Fun.

Dark brown. No head. Aroma features easy to identify curry, cumin, and cayenne. Flavor adds chocolate and a little licorice to the spices along with a hint of roast. Coconut and lime finds its way through in the finish, which provides a pleasant cayenne heat as well. Superb balance of all the different elements, all of which can be picked out individually but at the same time all flow seamlessly. Interesting sipper. Superbly Well made.

I get hints of chocolate, black licorice, and curry. A little spicy aftertaste. Good in smal sips and small quantities. Smells like cirry, cumin, cayenne.
