Dark brown/black color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, cocoa, coconut, rich spice, & vanilla; Flavor of slight roasted sweet malt, chili peppers, curry, chocolate, and citrus (notably lime); Finish is quite hot; Interesting brew - but can be a bit much at times.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a small soda-like light brown head. The aroma is by far the strangest Iíve ever experienced with any beer. The lime is what stands out most, with coconut, curry, and a light background of roasted malt. Taste is equally bizarre, starts off rather stout-like, but quickly changes, more lime and coconut, and stronger curry flavors, lots of coriander and cumin, taste is relatively sweet overall. Finish is very spicy, almost enough to make me sweat, but that seems almost necessary. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. This is by far the strangest beer Iíve ever had. That being said itís pretty good.

Botella. Deep dark brown colour. Spiced curry peppery roasty malty chocolate coconutty aroma, strange, but nice. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is spicy with curry and pepper, coconut and chocolate along with roasty malt and chilli spiciness.

Draught at Stags Head NYC. Crazy beer to say the least but very interesting. Pours opaque black with a beige head. Smells like curry and coconut. Tastes like kafir lime, curry, burnt coffee and hot peppers. there is a definite burn on the lips while drinking this. Intresting beer but it works.

Bottle at Bruceís 30th celebrations, 08/02/13, thanks to Leighton. Light black with a thin tan head. Nose is dark malt, mint, corriander, spice, lime, coconut, chocolate, Thai green curry. Taste follows pretty much. Add some chocolate notes, a light chilli kick and lemongrass. Full end of medium bodied with moderate carbonation. This could have been a car crash but turned out Ok - interesting stuff !

Bottle at Bruceís Bíday at the Craft. Opaque very dark brown, thin tan head. Nose if big curry, coriander, meaty, fruity, chutney spice. Taste is curry powder, coriander, spice, dark chocolate. Strange but in kind of works nicely.

Wow, this is a really unusual beer. The cumin and curry jump out in the aroma along with some chocolate. The cayenne pepper heat hits immediately and lasts for a long time along with the spices. The coconut finally comes out to complete the curry flavor. All of these stand out clearly on their own but they blend together in an interesting and tasty way. If there are hops in here, theyíre covered by all the other flavors. The body is dark brown with a ruby color under light and a light tan head that disappears quickly. Finishes with hot spice and chocolate. The heat may be a bit much, but it probably goes great with spicy foods. This is definitely not for everyone, but itís a well made, unique beer.

Pours motor oil brown, chocolate brown head that recedes to a dense ring. Nose is potent, roasted coconut, curry, cumin, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Med to heavier bodied. Notes of chocolate malts, cinnamon, coconut and curry and finishes with cayenne heat on the finish. Interesting spice beer though it might have a bit too much going on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NYC Trip Beer #5. This brew has the most original flavor of anything I have ever tried. It is a curry and coconut explosion. It pours pitch black with a tan head. It left my throat burning. In a good way. I would love to bring this beer to a tasting with some other beer afficianados just to hear their thoughts. Wish I had found some to bring home. Draft - Pony Bar - New York, NY
