Botella. Deep dark brown colour. Spiced curry peppery roasty malty chocolate coconutty aroma, strange, but nice. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is spicy with curry and pepper, coconut and chocolate along with roasty malt and chilli spiciness.

Draught at Stags Head NYC. Crazy beer to say the least but very interesting. Pours opaque black with a beige head. Smells like curry and coconut. Tastes like kafir lime, curry, burnt coffee and hot peppers. there is a definite burn on the lips while drinking this. Intresting beer but it works.

Bottle at Bruce’s 30th celebrations, 08/02/13, thanks to Leighton. Light black with a thin tan head. Nose is dark malt, mint, corriander, spice, lime, coconut, chocolate, Thai green curry. Taste follows pretty much. Add some chocolate notes, a light chilli kick and lemongrass. Full end of medium bodied with moderate carbonation. This could have been a car crash but turned out Ok - interesting stuff !

Bottle at Bruce’s B’day at the Craft. Opaque very dark brown, thin tan head. Nose if big curry, coriander, meaty, fruity, chutney spice. Taste is curry powder, coriander, spice, dark chocolate. Strange but in kind of works nicely.

Bottle. Pitch black pour with a white head. Smells like Tai curry. Earthy roasted malts, nuts, and spices. Wild and wacky...

Bottle... Poured dark, near black with a light brown head. Aroma was like window cleaner or disinfectant. Taste wise the spices seemed to work better with heavy coconut tones, roasted malt, black pepper spice, and hints of yellow curry. I’m not a huge fan of curry but this worked in the flavor profile.

This is a strange beer. Im glad I got to try it but it is very strange. Aroma is coconut curry to the extreme with notes of lime citrus. Taste is more of the same. Really has very few "beer" flavors as all I tend to get is coconut curry and lime on aroma and taste. Worth a try if you love indian food.

On tap at Meridian Pint. Pours an oily, opaque black with some thing, beige head. WHOA. Smells like Hawaiian Tropic sun tan oil, coconut, salty air, thai basil, lime, perfume, ginger, spice. Flavor is crazy, it starts like sweet coconut milk, then you get some bitterness and some spice, then the finish is cayenne pepper heat. My mouth tingled long after I was done. A palate wrecker, but very unique. I wouldn’t order it again, but it was worth the try.

On draught at The Monk’s Kettle in SF. Pours nearly black with a one-finger light brown head. Nose is overwhelming. Definitely tastes like a Thai curry: kaffir lime, coconut, curry, cayenne, cumin. You can definitely taste all the listed flavors because this is spiced to the Nth degree. Tastes just as spicy; the stout can barely fight its way through. This was an 11 oz pour. The taste grew really tiresome after about 5 oz. Unique, for sure.

Pours black with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aromas of curry, cumin, a little chocolate. Taste is strong curry, cayenne, and cumin. Decent malty backbone that’s rich and slightly sweet. Finish is sweet with a lingering spicy warmth. Seems a little overly aggressive in spice but overall a very enjoyable experience.
