I love Indian food and export stouts, but this concoction was disgusting...

Pours a perfect mocha black with a minimal, fine, light tan head. The aroma is kinda crazy...huge curry. There's almost too much going on. I smell and taste curry, cumin, coconut, roasted coffee and touch of heat from the cayenne. Weird. Creative. Too much spice.

Interesting. Really does have a taste of Indian food. Iím not sure it works as a beer, but itís a fun deviation.

Bomber. And we have a winner here folks! This smells and tastes exactly like described. All of those excellent flavor additions are each pronounced and at the same time blended just like an incredible curry dish in India. You actually have a nice spice burn on the end of your throat at the end of each sip. The girlfriend loved it. Only reason this isnít getting a solid 4 from me is that it could be just a touch thicker to round it all out. Other than that - a total winner!

Bomber from Pringleís. Appearance: finger rust red head that lasts, good lacing, dark brown, opaque. Aroma: coconut, roast, vanilla, curry, other fruitiness. Palate: oily, soft carbonation, full body. Taste: sweet malty chocolate and coconut into curry sweet with coconut and lime sweetness lasting, but then curry and pepper heat rises and lingers, overriding everything else. Overall, too much spice for me, very complex, very unique.

Bottle. Dark brown with a medium-sized head. Instant curry and cumin aroma impression tucked behind what otherwise seems like pleasant malt (chocolate fudge / cake, mild roast / char). Fiery spiciness from approach to finish, basically tasting like straight curry and cayenne powder. Medium-full body is beefy and savory, lightly sweet with relatively strong bitterness. Itís a ridiculous recipe, even one of these flavorings would be bad on itís own, but together itís laughably undrinkable. The coconut and lime are not apparent at all, instead the cayenne and curry seem to dominate. Yeah, itís a an experiment, but no, it does not taste good. This was purchased by mistake, and I should have paid more attention to the label. Itís a well made beer though the flavorings mask any possible underlying problems. The body and the sense I get of the malt shows promise. No doubt a version without any of the flavorings would be much more enjoyable.

Bottle shared. Pours a deep dark opaque black with minimal light toffee head. Aroma and taste of spice, malts, and spice.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: peppery, nutty, and malty, with hints of curry (obviously), which drowns all else out. Taste/Palate: the pepper burn was distracting, but there was some redeeming sweetness to the beer too.

Poured from a 22.Smells like a chili spice beer. Flavor is somewhat sweeter at first but gives a slight burn in the back of the throat going down. Definitely has the curry flavor with a slight coconut flavor. I wonder how this would pair with a Thai Curry dish Pretty much a one off beer for me, but not bad.

651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, light beige head, over a clear, dark brown (SRM 35) body......nose is curry, hints of chocolate, light toffee/caramel, cumin, heavy floral notes, balance to the spices.....taste is slightly cocoanut sweet, curry, heavy cayenne heat, hints of roasted malts with chocolate, coffee notes, mild herbal hops, balance to the spices.....mouth feel, medium body, slightly sticky, mild alcohol, low carbonation. This is very different beer. It is spice dominated, to the extent that the underlying malts and hops are almost absent. It is too over the top. My own preference with additives is that they be subtle not utterly overwhelming. The score reflects the quality of the brewer, not my enjoyment of the confection. BJCP 7/3/10/4/5

Wow. Interesting spiced stout. The cayenne I noticed immediately as it was immediately felt on my lips before I even tasted it, got the curry also, the other flavors not so sure except the coconut in the aftertaste which I did not care for. An interesting beer and definitely a sipper. Glad I tried it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
