High 5 to the creator of this brew. I havenít rated a beer in over 4 months and this one brought me out of retirement. Crafted really well. Super complex with all kinds of interesting flavors. I really enjoyed this and look forward to sharing this with a few of my craft beer friends. Itís a first of itís kind and I agree itís a bit much like previous raters have said. But that doesnít make it uninjoyable. It has itís place. Right now that place is in a couple of bottles marked for special friends who appreciate wierd "out there" creations. This qualifies. And congrats to the crafter.

22oz bottle. I guess I didnít read the label carefully. The color and aroma startled me. The cumin stands out clearly in the nose. Flavors are surprisingly well blended. Very different beer and a unique experience.

4 oz. taster at brewery. So curry and stout, not bad. Really good balance between the curry, cayenne and coconut. You should try it once.

5/27/16. Bomber. Pours black w a sticky 2 finger mocha head. Nose has hints of curry spice and prunes. Heat hits you almost immediately and stays w you. Interesting. Not my everyday stout but can't say I've ever had something like this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Ballast Point Little Italy. Darkest brown with a small tan head. Aroma is Indian food as f, so curry it should be named Steph and awarded the NBA MVP award (sorry Labronda Kunondra). Madras, and itís mad ras. RAS TRENT - JAAAAHHHH!!! Sorry for the obscure Lonely Island reference. Flavor is mildly sweet, hella/grippa spice depending whether youíre from Nor or SoCal. Coconut, Steph Curry, cumin so much I want to cum-in it. But then it wouldnít taste so good. Medium bodied, prickly feel. Damn it feels good to be a ticker sometimes.

Aroma is complex Indian spices and Jasmin/cumin. The flavor is complex Indian spices, dark malts, fruit and a mix of acidity and spicy heat in the finish.

Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Dark brown body with a faint beige head. Aroma of coriander, bay leaf, charcoal and green pepper. Flavour is very spicy - notes of lemongrass, chillies and coconut. Thin to medium body with a soft fizz. A touch too spicy for me, but itís a really interesting beer.

So Iím having curry for dinner and figured my aperitif would be this Curry Stout because, why not? Deep only black pour with a beige head. With the smell of curry wafting around my kitchen from the beer Iím mostly picking up stout character in the aroma: savory umami, cinnamon, nutmeg, a chocolate like spice I canít pin down. Truly the action curry is making this smell surprisingly sweet. The taste is sweet spicy chocolate with a big dollop of chilli pepper heat but still a sweet cardamom finish. With a Japanese curry this baby shines. A weird ass beer but fun. That sweetness I was getting was Chocolat covered coconut like those "mound" chocolates.

Bottle at Comely Bankers III. Well, this is an interesting beer. Pours murky brown. Nose is the most delicious curry - the curry with coriander, chili etc spices, then lime, coconut, it is quite stunning. Taste has the same components, curry, all the chili and pepper, then come the coconut and lime again, and then kick of the chili. I donít know what to think of this one - it is not a beer Iwould like to sip on Sat evening but still it is good and absolutely well made. Definitely worth tasting.

Bottle thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - like a South Indian curry. Taste - tonnes of fenugreek, kaffir lime and coriander seed. A chilli kick at the end but all on balance. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy and spicy palate. Overall - really very interesting.
