High 5 to the creator of this brew. I havenít rated a beer in over 4 months and this one brought me out of retirement. Crafted really well. Super complex with all kinds of interesting flavors. I really enjoyed this and look forward to sharing this with a few of my craft beer friends. Itís a first of itís kind and I agree itís a bit much like previous raters have said. But that doesnít make it uninjoyable. It has itís place. Right now that place is in a couple of bottles marked for special friends who appreciate wierd "out there" creations. This qualifies. And congrats to the crafter.

Really unique aroma of black licorice, banana, spice and fruit notes. Tastes like spicy curry. My throat is still tender.

On tap at Ballast Point Tasting Room. Pours very dark brown. Smells like an Indian grocery store. But also some sweetness and maltiness. Wow. Flavor is off the wall. Coconut. Some spicy chills. Curry paste. Crazy. Finishes very dry with a good amount of burn on the back of the throat. Crazy stuff!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really enjoyed this. The aroma is somewhat mild, but dominated by notes of earthy, spicy smoke. The flavor is similar, blends very well with the malts and adds a solid spicy kick. Not quite hot to my taste but may be a lot if youíre more on the wimpy end of the spice scale. This would be great, and was... on cool fall day.
