22oz bottle. black pour with a head that diminishes to nothing in a few seconds. enticing aroma of red curry, chili, vanilla(coconut?). a medium bodied beer wit a spicy heat in the finish. lots of cumin notes and curry, lesser notes of tart lime and sweet coconut. really fun to drink. i can’t say i’ve had anything remotely like this before...it’s not just your typical hot pepper stout. layers of spices. awesome...just not sure i want to drink 2 pints of this in a row.

Wild. Thanks to Matt for the taste. Like someone poured a porter into a plate of madras curry. A bit sweet, definitely a ton of spices. Mild heat. Strange. Tasty? Mostly strange.

Bottle at Craig’s, Eyes watering slightly from the smell. Creamy, coconut, lots of spice. Blends perfectly into Thai green curry in a bottle.

Draft at the Old Grove Brewery. Pours almost clear copper with a fizzy beige head and lots of lacing. Tastes like dry pine, booze, caramel, and spicy hops. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like alcohol, caramel, and nutty pine hops.

On tap at Ballast Point Tasting Room. Pours very dark brown. Smells like an Indian grocery store. But also some sweetness and maltiness. Wow. Flavor is off the wall. Coconut. Some spicy chills. Curry paste. Crazy. Finishes very dry with a good amount of burn on the back of the throat. Crazy stuff!!!
