Pint at Toronado San Diego. Goo. d aroma, ginger, orange, vanilla, cloudy brownish orange. Small head minor lace. Sweet flavor, lite body, smooth mouthfeel spice bitter finish, nice. Kind of winter warmer thing going on. Nice spice thing...

On tap, pour is murky golden Amber with a modest fine bubbled off white head in this glass. The nose is ginger dominant, with some general sweetness from the malt profile. The flavor profile started off a little mediocre, but it did grow on me. It felt a little one dimensional courtesy of the ginger, with some basil, caramel, and spicing. Interesting..... But....

On tap at Blue Palm’s Grand Re-opening (labeled as a sour with spices). Pours with a hazed red hued body with an off-white head. Aromas are a bit lactic, earthy, ginger, currants, citrus zest, currants, berries. Some candied fruit notes. Flavors are earthy, soil, dusty, raw ginger, currants, orange, light oak tannin, mildly tart. Dark fruits and plum. Not really sure whats going on here. Medium bubbles and dry with a somewhat big feel to it.

On tap at Ballast Point Old Grove: Cloudy black tea color with a wisp of off-white foam. Sweet orangy aroma. Flavor starts spicy ginger with a little cocoa in the background with a light dry orange rind bitter finish. Light-medium body with lively carbonation.

On tap at Hone Brew Mart location. Murky orange brown with thick tan head that collapses to sticky lace. Nose us sweet malty and oddity. Good oddity. Taste is Lotsa Ginger with smack of cocoa, coffee, and lots of oak. Combination of flavors resembles cinnamin. Woody leftovers. Yum.
