A classic German-Style Beer, Brewed in San Diego. Our Longfin Lager has become one of the go-to beers with the team at the brewery. A solidly balanced Helles inspired Lager with a clean, slightly hoppy finish that could easily fit in at any German beer garden. We think it’s perfect for enjoying on the beach, the boat or anywhere else you can put an ice chest full of beer.

Bottle from Sam’s in Durham. Nothing offensive here, but nothing great either. Pours slightly hazy bright gold--a good looking beer--but tastes just slightly better than your average lager.

355ml brown bottle. Lightly hazy straw yellow coloured brew with a thin white layer of head that quickly recedes. Nose has grains and some spicy hops. Taste has light sweetness, grainy, touch of lemony hops and minerals. Aftertaste is more grassy, noble hops. Light bitterness. Easy to drink/sessionable.

Meh. A good crisp and clean lager with a good profile but not my jam really. Pours a bright golden straw with a thin head of white, light carb. The nose is grainy and cereal malted with a bit of lemon and spice. Pretty bland profile but a good crisp and refreshing brew.

Straw-colored body. Light malty sweetness. Fresh and clean, balanced finish, moderate hops, medium length. Enjoyable and straightforward.

Relaxing full flavored and very smooth. Enjoyable to drink and share. Lingering flavors are very pleasant

Appearance: clear pale straw, with two fingers of persistent, foamy, bright white head. Aroma: bright, clean, and fresh, full of floral, grassy hops and toasted white bread. Taste: surprisingly sweet and crackery up front, then there’s some pepper, grassy and floral hops . Finish: clean and crisp, with a bit of sweet grains, lemongrass, aspirin, and pepper. Notes: Really, really liked this. Drank it in less than a minute, I think, because the flavors and palate were so refreshing. Basically a perfect lager, but now I’m sad because I’d only bought the single can. 12 oz can from TW&M in Alexandria, Virginia.

12 oz. can from Root Cellar. Pours a clear bright yellow with a finger of white head that dissipates quickly into nothing. Notes of straw, cracker, corn, lemon and minerals - kind of bland. Light-bodied, with low carbonation for the style and a dry, malty, mineralic mouthfeel. A bit of a letdown after tasting the new Even Keel cans.

Draft at CT Hops for Hope. Funny, was told it was an IPA. Totally drank as a Pilsner or nicely hopped and full helles. Well, there ya go, that’s what it was. The pour was very heady golden yellow, a foamy mess. Aroma was solid, great grassy hops and cereal malts underneath it all. Flavor emphasized some pilsy grassy elements with a bright firm hoppy presence over it all and in the finish. Clean, yet full malt profile and base, a big helles for sure. Solid in style, but their Sculpin is always a more exciting stand out!
