Orange pour with a white head. Sweet tropical fruit and grapefruit aromas. Surprising amounts of oak and vanilla aromas. Some pine, grass, and sweet caramel. There’s a nice fruit character to the flavor. Big grapefruit and pineapple. Sweeter than expected or liked. Lots of oak and vanilla, some pine, and a decent bitterness on the finish.

Cask. Dark orange pour with tan head. Grapefruit citrus light oak, mild other hop aromas. Similarly citrusly flavored front with vanilla and oak tones infused in.

On cask at Beer Authority in NYC. Pours a cloudy golden color with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is is vegetal with vanilla, caramel, pine, and mild wood. On the palate, the barrel comes through on the edges but overall it's pretty subtle. Very hop forward with a great peppery character. The malt is a little bit overwhelmed but there are some nice bready sweet flavors. Cask temperature makes for an intersecting experience with this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at Blue Palm’s 4th Anniversary. Pours with a crystal clear golden hued body with a foamy white head. Aromas are citrusy, low grainy, resin, light oak and tangerine. Flavors are of oak, sharp and fresh wood, vanillin, grassy, tangerine. Medium to strong bitterness and tannin. Low carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good all things considered.
