COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made with only six ingredients. Malted 2-row barley, palisade hops, orange blossom honey, White Labs California Ale Yeast, apricots and San Diego carbon filtered tap water. Low bitterness is balanced by tart apricots with a sweet but not cloying finish. Barmy Ale can be aged up to eight years with a strong honey wine character emerging if cellared. Be careful not to be the barmiest of them all.

This beer is very rare and made in small batches. It is also very awsome from the first sip to the last! made with apricots and orange blossom honey itís a 10.7% dream for strong ale and meade lovers. Strong fruit and honey through out and a nice full body. Nice mouth feel. Great carbonation.

Tap. I usually like stronger beers, but this one didnít seem right to me. It tasted like a barleywine and the alcohol covered up most of the apricot flavors I was hoping for. It was there but my taste buds struggled to pick it up.

Sample while checking out the expo at HomeBrewCon. Slightly hazy deep orange gold color with a decent head. Huge fruity aroma seems a bit artificial against a sweet bready malty alcohol base. Pretty good sipper.

Appearance: Clear golden amber body with a tall frothy head.
Aroma: Light aroma, hints of apricot, hints of sweetness, light carbonation aroma, mild honey. Overall the aroma is mild and clean with just hints of stuff.
Taste: Big clean intro, light yet almost syrupy. Hints of fruit, some astringency on the finish, light citrus throughout, and a mild alcohol warming on the finish.
Palate: Thick body, mild carbonation.
Overall: Had no idea this was 12% when I bought it. Surprised itís 12% and this clean, yet so mild.

On draft at Beer Belly in Albany. The pour is a darker golden orange with a thin film of off white head that falls to a collar, leaving no lace. The aroma is hard to pull out the apricot, but eventually it does show itself. There is a light flesh, and itís a bit malty. This bodes the booze well though. The flavor is not good. There is a very light fruitiness and the malts take over. Itís pretty bitter as well. The juiciness doesnít even try to combat. The booze is out in full force. I have no idea how this is a 96 by style fruit beer. The mouth feel is thick and heavy with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly boozy, bitter finish. There is a dry apricot on the way back. This sucks.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Honey and light apricot aroma. Honey and apricot flavor with rich malt. Medium-plus bodied. Honey and apricot linger with rich malt.

Tap at birreria paradiso in dc. Snifter. Orange gold with small white head. Smells like peach apricot skin. Sweet and fruity. Alcohol present but buried under sweetness. Oily mouthfeel. Tart slightly. Good for a fruit beer, but a fruit beer.

On Tap clear orange golden with a fine thin head that quickly fades to just a white ring. Soft sweet honey malt flavors. The orange blossom honey comes though as well. A little ABV burn at the end suggesting this is no run of the mil "fruit beer" Smooth and sweet . Very good.

Pours a clear gold. Has a mix of citrus and really strong fruit aroma. A sweet fruit taste with some citrus and spices. Lingering flavors of spices and sweet fruits.

on tap @ Party Town (Friday Night Flights) / Florence KY --- Aroma of apricot and malt. Clear copper amber color, white head, strips of lace. Taste is strong, alcoholic malt with tart apricot. Sweet tries to push in, but is stopped quickly by hops and more alcohol. Too strong to be a reliable fruit beer.

On tap @ the brewery. Medium golden hue, lovely floral honey nose, toasty undertones. Sweet toasty honey with lightly tart apricot fruit, dry finish. Madeira-ish, no hint of the 12% ABV whatsoever! Unexpectedly excellent.
