3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours hazy deep orange with nose of apricot, honey, earthy bready notes. Tastes fruity, with a big apricot blast up front, some mid-palate honey and bready flavor, and a meady finish, but not with quite the heft of a mead. This one is very tasty, and very dangerous.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at the brewery on 11/30/06: Pours a clear deep golden with a thin ring of white head. Sweet apricot and honey aroma has a nice pale malty sweetness. Body starts fairly full and sweet with nice fruity citric apricots and floral honey notes. Well-balanced and incredibly drinkable given the abv.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Blind Tiger during Anthony’s going away shindig. Pours a clear amber orange with a very small white head. Sweet honey and soft fruit on the nose. A touch of cherry. Sweet, light grain and honey, a touch of warming alcohol. Medium bodied, sweet and fruity, alcohol comes back strong. Heavy handed and big and boozy. Sweet and sticky, tough to drink. Way too boozy.

A tasty beer. The apricot was super apparent, something I rarely taste in "apricot" beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2012 Draught at the Blind Tiger Ale House, New York, NY.
Clear golden colour with no head.
Fruit, honey, mead and sugar in aroma.
Flavour is super sweet with some muld sourness. Apricot, peach, fruit liqueur, alcohol, honey and sugary sweetness and mild sourness. Quite interesting. Without the mild sourness at the end it would far too sweet to be drinkable. It’s like a dessert wine.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted at the 13th Annual Strong Ale Fest on 12/4/2009. This fruity beer pours a light orange gold color from the tap. Small to meium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, apricots and honey. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet with lots of apricots and honey flavors. The beer is fairly sweet, but not cloying. It is nearly mead like, but has a nice malt backbone. The hops are herbal. Nicely balance, with good carbonation. The apricot flavors are very nice. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Tap at Rattle N Hum for the Ballast Point Promo night with Joe and Zach. Very light slight hazy honey gold with a thinning head to nothing. Aroma is big very thick sweetness with apricot- jammy, and almost artificial sweetner and syrup added, seemed a bit fake gets a touch grassy acetaldehyde and harsh prickly on the nose. Flavor is honey sweet, harsh earth with over the top apricot, honey and light burnt toffee, alcohol is apparent as well- phenolic and waxy in the finihs- blech.
