3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A malty aroma dominates. The flavor is strange, sweet malt to start with a syrupy apricot sweetness to follow. The finish is sweet and sticky. Lots of alcohol on the throat.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11 aug 3012, tap at the brewery. Light gold, clear, no bubbles. Nose is lots of corn and processed food factory. Med body and lightly fizzy. Kind of caramel, sugary, cracked wheat. Tastes like a bag of malt smells. Interesting and odd.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ San Diego Brewing company: Poured a golden brass color and was paired with a decent amount of film covering as a head. Left some lacing down the glass but what is more important is the strong fruity, hop and malt aromas and flavors this beer portrays. Amazing scent of apricot and honey dominating the aroma as well as a scent of floral hops. The flavor was smack dack right in my face and shocked my taste buds of how potent this fruit beers potential actually was. Strong malt and honey to be tasted as well as a light hoping and addition of dried fruit such as peach, apricot and orange slices. By far one of the best fruit beers i have ever studied, and the warming touch of the high ABV was nice and reassuring to make this a memorable hand crafted ale.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler courtesy of JRedmond while watching TROLLHUNTER! This little sucker had some fruits.. apricot and hint of cherry in the mouth feel. A bit dry.. but dang, 10.7? Felt like 2%. Good but not overly aggressive or flavorful.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Poured a nice golden color with little head. Aromas of much apricots and yeast. Flavors were apricot and some thing a little sour. I like the aroma better than the flavor. The aftertaste was just a little vinous. 10.5%? Wow, that is masked well. But I did feel it. Not bad at all

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler courtesy of WeeHeavySD shared with the boys at the Brick Store.
Pours a slightly hazy golden with a decent sized whitish head that lingers a bit as a cap and leaves hints of lacing.
Whoa, I wasnít expecting this aroma. Itís definitely got a ton of apricots which are evident from the get-go. There is also more than a dash of honey sweetness in the nose as well.
The taste is more of the same with a massive honey sweetness forming the backbone underneath the apricot and some oaky tannins lending a slightly bitter finish to this one.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and very sticky - lots and lots of sugary sweetness lingering on the palate throughout.
This is a very interesting and tasty beer. The sweetness limits the drinkability fairly substantially for me. I really, really like this one, but getting through my second glass wasnít easy. Tasty and unique.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at brewery. This is a special ale brewed with two-row malt, apricots and honey among other ingredients. Pours clear yelllow with a small white head, looking attractive, yet innocently enough like a pale lager. One wiff confirms that this is not pale lager, aroma is fruity and sweet with the apricot and honey in evidence. Flavor is also sweet and fruity, with a floral hop backing, a bit of sourness and the alcohol barely perceptible. Medium to full body and creamy carbonation. This is a very nice specialty brew that will likely only be around for a short while.
