UPDATED: JUN 11, 2009 This was simply an awesome brew!! You could barley even taste the 10.5 in this guy. On tap @ the Linda Vista Brewery. Aroma of sweet honey. I tasted some caramel malts to go along with the outstanding honey presence.

Draft. Pours hazy deep orange with nose of apricot, honey, earthy bready notes. Tastes fruity, with a big apricot blast up front, some mid-palate honey and bready flavor, and a meady finish, but not with quite the heft of a mead. This one is very tasty, and very dangerous.

On tap at Prohibition with Tom two nights ago. Pours a shimmery tangerine with a small bit of white, tight-bubbled head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and candied sugars, lemon peel, honey, and some of the apricots. Mouthfeel is crisp and tangy with a bit of sticky sweetness. Very little trace of the alcohol, save for some mild heat in the finish. Taste is very similar to a Belgian golden ale with some very soft, peachy notes in the mix. Decent, but definitely not a traditional fruit beer.

There is a ton of apricots in the aroma of this, and pretty wheaty/yeasty. Quite cloudy. Tastes like an apricot too. This is incredible in how light it tastes compared to the amount of alcohol. Dangerous. I drank it too fast.

On draft at o ’briens. Clear golden pour no head. Taste is mildly sweet with subtle hints of apricot. You can tell the alcohol is there with a nice after taste of honey.

Growler courtesy of JRedmond while watching TROLLHUNTER! This little sucker had some fruits.. apricot and hint of cherry in the mouth feel. A bit dry.. but dang, 10.7? Felt like 2%. Good but not overly aggressive or flavorful.

Growler fill from whole foods on Houston. Pours a clear orange amber body with light white lacing no head. Aroma is sharp fruit malts and spice. Mouthfeel is medium with carbonation and notes of spice, dry apricot, and sweet fruity malts. Absolutely no sign of the alcohol.
