Made with only six ingredients. Malted 2-row barley, palisade hops, orange blossom honey, White Labs California Ale Yeast, apricots and San Diego carbon filtered tap water. Low bitterness is balanced by tart apricots with a sweet but not cloying finish. Barmy Ale can be aged up to eight years with a strong honey wine character emerging if cellared. Be careful not to be the barmiest of them all.

Tap at birreria paradiso in dc. Snifter. Orange gold with small white head. Smells like peach apricot skin. Sweet and fruity. Alcohol present but buried under sweetness. Oily mouthfeel. Tart slightly. Good for a fruit beer, but a fruit beer.

On Tap clear orange golden with a fine thin head that quickly fades to just a white ring. Soft sweet honey malt flavors. The orange blossom honey comes though as well. A little ABV burn at the end suggesting this is no run of the mil "fruit beer" Smooth and sweet . Very good.

Pours a clear gold. Has a mix of citrus and really strong fruit aroma. A sweet fruit taste with some citrus and spices. Lingering flavors of spices and sweet fruits.

on tap @ Party Town (Friday Night Flights) / Florence KY --- Aroma of apricot and malt. Clear copper amber color, white head, strips of lace. Taste is strong, alcoholic malt with tart apricot. Sweet tries to push in, but is stopped quickly by hops and more alcohol. Too strong to be a reliable fruit beer.

On tap @ the brewery. Medium golden hue, lovely floral honey nose, toasty undertones. Sweet toasty honey with lightly tart apricot fruit, dry finish. Madeira-ish, no hint of the 12% ABV whatsoever! Unexpectedly excellent.

Tap @ Taphouse Boise. Golden color with a small beige head. Nose is sweet, fruity. Sort of artificial and boozy. Taste is dominated by sweetness, something says orange marmalade. Maybe even orange liqueur. Interesting take.

Draft. Gold with white head. Apricot is pretty understated with prominent yeasty notes and a little hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and booze is well hidden. Ok.

On tap at Dutch’s. Ballast Point website now lists this at 12%, so that’s what we labeled it. Clear golden orange color. Thin white head, leaving a few bits of lace. Medium-plus body. Doesn’t taste very heavy at all. A mild warmth in the finish does indiciate the alcohol, though. Moderate sweet, but dry finish. Lighter, kind of soft carbonation. Reasonably smooth. Easy to sip. Nice aroma of floral honey, and pleasant mild apricot. Initially when I first sampled a sip of this, I found it to be mild overall. But that may be part of the appeal here. It’s surprisingly smooth for the ABV, and not heavy at all. Overall, pretty impressive, solid stuff. Nice to enjoy with some truffle popcorn. Was very popular amongst people I talked too, as well.

Draft. Poured a clear orange amber color with an average fizz white head that was lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy apricot and peach aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet fruit flavor with a moderate sweet finish of average duration.
