COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made with only six ingredients. Malted 2-row barley, palisade hops, orange blossom honey, White Labs California Ale Yeast, apricots and San Diego carbon filtered tap water. Low bitterness is balanced by tart apricots with a sweet but not cloying finish. Barmy Ale can be aged up to eight years with a strong honey wine character emerging if cellared. Be careful not to be the barmiest of them all.

Aromas of hony, golden malts, oats, grains, apricot juice, pear, cider and crisp yeast. Pours a gorgeous bright gold with a thin white foam and medium lacing. Taste brings big, bold flavors of apricot, honey, golden malts, crackers, grain malt, oats, grits, slight tropical fruits and orange zest. Finishes with pretty well masked booze and residual apricot juice. Overall, It’s really good, the flavors are very straight forward but it’s got a massive body to it. A- rating.

Pours a pale gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is honey, apricot, and booze. Flavor is sweet, thick honey, apricot, and some booze, though not as noticeable as on the nose. Some carbonation and a thick, full body, honey-like. Wow, this is much bigger than I thought. Pretty good.

Poured from the bottle of a six pack (definitely can’t drink all 6 in one sitting). Pours hazy orange, taste is faint apricot and booze, with a slick honey aftertaste which makes it go down dangerously smooth. If you are looking for a non-offensive high powered beer to get you ripped, this is it. Be careful with this one, it bites back.

Pours clear golden orange with a small white fizz. Smells faintly fruity. Taste is sweet, hints of fruit, alcohol, and honey. Light-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Ballast Point Barmy Apricot Ale finishes with a faint sweetness.

So thick it’s like baby food. No smell. Looks like a beer. Yikes! Fruity alcohol. Not for me. Suppose a few will get you wasted.

12oz bottle from Spirits LKWD. Poured a clear deep honey gold body with an average sized bright white foamy head. Aroma is sweet breads, dry fruits, alcohol, honey. Flavor is very similar but with a bit more grains upfront that faded to sweeter notes and finishes with alcohol. Syrupy full body with light carbonation and lingering heat on the finish.
