Tap at Urban Solace in San Diego. Pours a clear amber. Thicker tan foam. Stickier lace. Nose is moderate cherry dessert. Taste is typical ballast Point vegetal oddities at the beginning moving to sweet dark cherry dessert. Silkier palate than expected from the rye. Great palate. Malt forward but not really sweet. Appearance is dull. Nose muted. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught Very thick creamy, cream-coloured head over almost black red-brown beer. USA hops and chocolate, nearly black IPA-like, bit of charcoal. Dry, but quite malty flavour; hops in retreat compared to the nose. "Charcoal" here seems to translate into rye. Mineral water quality, yet some body; slighlty slick. Refreshing brown ale - quite rare, certainly seen the coriander addition.

On tap at House of Brews in Jensen Beach, Fl. Light brown pour with a 1 finger off white head. Roast nose with light bitterness, not picking up on the coriander. Med body with roast, citrus bitterness, and light fruit. Roast finish with a light bitterness.

dark brown with a reddish hue. Almost a sweet rye aroma. Very easy to drink, with a caramel malty sweetness.

Draught @ Milltown. Reddish brown with a Small tan head. Nose shows some light rye, nuttiness, soy sauce. Flavor is kind of weird. Mildly hoppy, light bitterness, hardly an sweetness at all. Beer drinks clean but to me is kind of boring too.

Draught at Milltown. Pour a soft copper brown with one finger of sandstone tan head. Nose shows rye upfront, spicy and bready for sure with hints of spice and citrus. Lightly sprucy/piney and medicinal. Bready and spicy flavor, coriander, rye, and citrusy hops play well of one another. Very well defined rye character in here. Medium body and spicy palate.
