bp (308), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2008 Cask at Bella Vista Grand Opening: pours a golden amber with a thin white head, aroma is full of citrus and hops (amazing aroma), taste is hoppy with some citrus, very easy to drink. This is a very nice IPA, I had assumed it was a DIPA, AllAboutStout (523), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours a very clear gold in color with only a ring of froth. Smell is very piney hops. Taste is very green, brutally bitter hops. This is very fresh and very green. Very bittering and tongue ripping. This is a aggressive and brutal onslaught on your palate. The bottle is incredible, I could only imagine how this is on draft. Wow. Swolf3 (83), Elkton, Maryland, USA Oct 3, 2008 Bottle Shared with GMCC2181, thanks Gabe. Aroma was pine, citrus and hops. Color was a nice bright light orange with nice head. Taste was pine, floral, and grassy. A nice easy to drink smooth IPA. GMCC2181 (416), Bear, Delaware, USA Oct 3, 2008 Bottle from spark-dog! Thanks E! Nice aroma, very piney, plus mango and citrus hops. Color was a light orange, decent head. Taste was different from most IPA’s. Light in texture. Nice mango bitter hop balance. Overall pretty sweet taste, but holds the classic IPA characteristics. Very easy to drink, for sure one of the better IPA out there. Thanks E for sending me this one, I owe you one. kyzr (960), Belgrade, Montana, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle thanks to doubleo. Pours fairly clear copper with frothy white. Huge pine/citrus nose. Flavor is all pine with back notes of grapefruit. Nice bit of sweetness that tries to round it out, but who cares, this a well made hopped up IPA!
