Draught/Growler. Took one taste to know this would be good. Enjoying the great floral and citrus flavor, grapefruit. Delicious.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber in color, with small white head. Sweet aroma, lots of peach, pine and hop notes. A lighter IPA, taste of hops and peaches primarily with bread and citrus notes as well. A great beer and a cool example of the range of the IPA style.

An outstanding IPA. I know my ratings aren’t high enough to be counted, but I have been drinking exclusively IPA for the past 3 years and this is the best IPA to date. The big difference between Sculpin IPA and the others is the aftertaste. Sculpin IPA leaves a light aftertaste, so much so that I feel like I could still rate food and/or wine if so needed. Much different than like a ruination IPA, which is so bitter it literally ruins the palette. When my local beer mart has this, and the wife is ignoring the finances, I will indulge in this beverage any chance I get.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Hazy gold with thin off-white head; aroma is strong, complex and pleasant array of hops grain w/ some woody+nutty notes; flavor explodes into a hoppy delight with some citrusy notes of grapefruit; feels silky smooth with a nice fizzy bite; finishes dry and roasty hoppy

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
draft @ redlight redlight. Sweet pines notes on the nose. Pours an amber gold color with a white head. Bitter pine upfront with herbal notes and a very earthy bitterness finishes with a resinous sticky feeling. Pretty good.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is an amazing, clean, crisp, complex, delicious IPA. Full spectrum of hop aromas and flavors: pine resin, melon, pineapple, orange, lemon grass along with a slight sweet malty base.

Ballast point nails it again. As soon as I cracked the bottle open, the hops made their presence. Earthy hops dominate the front of the palate while fruity hops and the malts take over on the back end. Great stuff.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hoppy aroma is a beautiful blend of pine, citrus, and mango. Crystal clear, light copper appearance. Malts get lost in bitterness and finishing hops, but I wasn’t looking for that in this beer. Persistent, tiny bubbles of carbonation rise from the laser etched bottom of my glass, creating a very small but persistent head that releases those wonderful aromas from start to finish. The carbonation creates an incredibly light mouthfeel. Despite the lack of malt balance, an excellent beer with a very nice blend of hops.

Bottle but drank from a mug. Unfortunate. Great beer. Aroma is citrus sweet. Fruity ipa, but stays true to hop heavy ipa style. Finishes nice
