4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle acquired from a trade with stefanje, thanks much. This beer is everything I look for in an IPA. Very well balanaced, with a fantastic hop profile. Sadly, I have only one bottle.

22oz bomber bottle - ordered from San Diego - consumed in Melbourne, Australia the day it arrived. I haven’t had a better IPA. Remember we are not talking DIPA, but single IPA here. 7%, relatively low ibu, compared to others. Its the beautiful ’sessionable’ qualities that this beer has that make it stand out. So smooth, light mouthfeel and body,
Pours a clear, bright golden hue, dense white head that sticks around.
Aroma, peach and beautiful fresh fruits overwhelm, freshness (and my bottle has travelled).
Taste, light bodied, with medium bitterness, kick ass, simple. The finish keeps giving long after you have tasted the brew, but it doesn’t build unpleasantly like some. I love you.

Draft at Brass Tap (Wesley Chapel, FL). Pours a slightly hazed orange yellow color with a foamy white head. Tons of grapefruit and hops in the aroma. Delicious flavor with a nice mixture of citrus hops and malt.

Pours a light amber/yellow. Nice aroma of fresh hops, citrus and grass. Taste is pretty smooth with a nice hop flavor that is well balanced. Again, towards the citrus and grassy hops. Very nice IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Light, clear, golden color with a massive off-white head. Nose is hoppy and spicy, abundant grapefruit and pine notes with lighter notes of peach, caramel, and grass. Medium to full body with a sticky mouth feel and good carbonation. Flavor is slightly sweet and herbal, up front I get lemon peel, grapefruit, and pine resin, there is a good amount of bitterness but it is a bit aspirin like and stays with you for a long time. Pale biscuity malts are present but don’t do too much to balance the beer out. Secondary notes of toffee, grass, and spice. Finishes aggressively bitter.

Thanks kmweaver for sharing this bomber: Tremendous resin and orange notes in hop aroma exponentially increased in hop flavor. I suspect a touch of crystal malt supplements the lean base malt profile. There is a curious drying note in finish that I find leans toward solvent warmth, yet my knowing informal tasting partner kmweaver calls ’slightly vinous’. This may be balancing, or possibly a mark off (most prominent as beer warms). Amazing hop schedule-- is it simcoe/amarillo?

From a bottle. Golden orange in color with a small white head. Big citrus fruit aroma. Orange, grapefruit, some sweeter fruit like peach jolly ranchers. Flavor is sweet with caramel malt and some peach that lead to a slightly bitter finish. Some lemon is present in the finish, too. This is fairly easy drinking due to it being only lightly bitter.

Bottle split at a tasting. Hazy orange-yellow. Soapy, patchy head. Bright, dry hoppy aroma. Lemon and tangerine flavors. Quite fruity but not sticky at all. One of the best IPAs I’ve had. Honey and melon flavors. Awesome mellow body. Medium malt, maximum hops.

Ballast Point Sculpin, 22oz bomber picked up at Liquor Outlet Wine Cellar. Pours beautiful hazy orange color with large white head in shaker. Head sticks to glass nicely. Great aroma of grapefruit and hops. Super citrus flavor, clean malt base. Light, smooth and silky. Very drinkable, this is a superb brew. I was worried that the bottle may not be fresh but that was put to rest the moment I open the bottle and poured it. It smelled excellent before I could even get my nose near the glass.
