3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale golden pour. The nose is very, very tropical and fruity. Loads of bright, citrusy hops with a lovely mango/pineapple character. Very, very hoppy with a bit of rich light tropical fruit. A bit of sweet pale malt, but this is all about the hops. Very fresh and tasty with loads of sweet hops. It’s not really all that bitter, but it is a delicious, juicy hop bomb.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Golden with a lasting head. Smell of frsh hand rubbed hops and grapefruit rind. Medium full nectar with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. This is one hoppy beer let me tell you. The sweetness of the malt is very mellow while the hop factor is high. The finish is bittered like my great grandma was when Johnny Carson left the tonight show.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 11, 2012 Wow. Now this is an IPA. Huge Pinapple, mango and citrus nose. In the mouth it is full yet so smooth. Lots of citrus and pine in the mouth, coating the tongue. Strong, but not overly aggressive. I could imagine this as the perfect gateway beer in to NWIPAs. However once you’ve had this little would stand up in comparison. The Green flash WCIPA would be the only IPA that could compare to this. World class and then some. RERATE more a citrus bomb now, but still very enjoyable, though not as amazing as the tropical fruit edition.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2012 Bottle. 25.4 oz. Split with Sean. Pours hazy orange-gold with with a thick, frothy white head. Aroma of hop resin, orange, pineapple, honey, Granny Smith apple, vanilla, caramel, and sweet malts. Fuller bodied; perfectly balanced with a juicy, tart, smooth mouthfeel. Slow-burning, crisp, carbonated finish. Outstandingly executed, outrageously delicious, incredibly satisfying Imperial IPA. By far one of the best brews I have ever tasted.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice light gold appearance, lighter than most IPA’s I drink. Very clean fresh pine on the nose. A considerable amount of bitterness in this one, it almost overpowers everything.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber into Stone IPA glass. Light amber body with a small white head that fades into a thin patches. Aroma is big initial peach and mango that is quickly displaced by lots of grapefruit, lemon and pine notes on the outskirts. Sweet tropical sugars in the nose as well. The flavor is mostly grapefruit, but the orange and lemon mix in as well. Just enough sweetness and lightly bready malt in the background to provide some contrast. There is big bitterness accompanies the dominant grapefruit, keeping things fairly dry and crisp. Leaves some nice light lacing. Moderate carbonation. Excellent stuff.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bottle pours a hazy golden amber body with a tall offwhite head that lasts forever. Lavish sticky lacing. Aroma is citrusy and floral(orange blossoms) with pink grapefruit, oranges, and other tropical fruits underneath. Taste has a prevailing citrusy hop bitterness that is mostly pink grapefruit. A plethora of tropical fruits peak adds delicate hints throughout. Malt presence adds a gentle whisper of sweetness. Very clean and even, supremely well balanced. Delicious and dangerously drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On cask at The Flying Saucer in Raleigh. Light gold pour with a small white head on it. It was a little undercarbonated, but not too badly. Light and fruity hop flavor, but missing a little bit of hoppy bitterness that I was expecting. Easy to drink and very tasty though!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber shared with and thanks to Axilla. Poured slightly cloudy orangish in color with a nice off white sticky head that left great lacing on the glass. Aroma is very piney and floral with a nice sweetness to back it up. Tastes of sweet american hops, grapefruit, piney, resin, with a nice caramel malt backbone. Very fantastic and drinkable IPA.
