Had it on tap at the Village Tap in Roscoe Village Chicago. Had it in a tulip glass had a slight head and even lacing with notes of citrus underlying its bold hop taste.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Pours clear orange copper with 1 finger white head that laces the glass all the way down. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruits and piney. Taste is very much hop forward, but does have some tropical fruit and is quite bitter. Well carbonated and sticky on the palate. I am very happy this brewery distributes to Chicago now as this is a tasty brew i will enjoy time and time again.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MaBeer1972 (1130) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 10, 2013
I had this about 2 months ago on tap, but did not rate it. This rating is from a bottle. Pours ouf a clear light golden color with frothy white head that settles to a thin lace. Citrus-spice-piney aromas. Flavor is sticky and bready up front. Lots of sticky bitterness. Flavors are muddled. Was much better on tap.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 toxichop (166) - South Gate, California, USA - MAY 9, 2013
P: A nice golden orange pour with a thick white head. S: Oranges, tropical fruits, pineapples, grapefruit, slight caramel, but its pretty much hops all the way. T: Pineapples, some tropical fruits, slight pine, some bready cracker malt, but thats really hidden, pretty much it just pounds you with hop. M: Carbonation sting, crispy, with slight bitterness with a grapefruit sticky finish. O: Just a wave of hops.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Steverus0 (68) - Shreveport, Louisiana, USA - MAY 8, 2013
A great straw colored IPA with thin and quickly dissipating head.
Nose and flavor do not disappoint with great hoppy bite in some of the more floral hop varieties.
Malts still come through cleanly, making this a great drinkable beer, but perhaps lacks some of the depth or interest of other iPAs. Nonetheless, Ballast Point has a great brew here with durability through the seasons, with enough character for fall and a clean and effervescent mouthfeel to deliver through the summer. Cheers!

Malt aroma w/hints of mango. Taste has bitterness, followed by malt, followed by hop taste of orange/grapefruit awesomeness. Carbonation is a little much on the tongue. Color is yellow with orange hues and is brilliantly clear.
