4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 jeremyh70 (344) - Missouri, USA - APR 20, 2013
Pours a clear light amber with two fingers of creamy white head that never completely disappears and leaves excellent lacing. The nose smells of grapefruit and mango with some pine and grass aromas. Taste is of tropical fruit with a herbal component and a grassy bitterness that is strong but not overwhelming. Has the tiniest amount of sweetness but it is perceptible. Mouthfeel is creamy and medium bodied with crisp carbonation. A hop forward and drinkable IPA.

Draft pour at Whip In. Pours clear amber with a white finger head. Sticky white lacing all down the glass. Smells of hops and a variety of sweet fruits ad citrus akin to a great IPA. Flavor is faintly fruity with a full hop and malt balance. Light and enjoyable IPA for any time of year.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 tmoreau (1624) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2013
Sampled at a recent Wirtz Beverage/Illinois seminar, and poured by the staff from bombers to stemware showing a clear, golden color, with creamy, off white head foam, and decent spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was light mid-fruit sweetness, resin, then grapefruity citrus. The flavor boasted a pronounced hop bitterness rounded nicely by the malt. Medium bodied, bold, yet rather sessionable.

Pours gold with a white head. Piney hop aroma with some malt. Taste is bitter piney hops, a touch of citrus, and a decent malt back bone.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sperine (138) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2013
On tap at Capone's in Norristown, PA. Actually tried this a few months after first trying the Habanero Sculpin, which was a beer I loved. It was nice to try this without the spice. Definitely a top tier IPA.

Strong citrus IPA smell. Pours clear orange with a white head. Flavor is all grapefruit and bitter. Light beer with average carbonation, very good!

Bomber poured into pint glasses. Pours a clear amber color with a nice white head and solid lacing through the glass. Smell is resin, pine, a bit of grapefruit, and slight alcohol. Taste is again with the resin, juicy grapefruit, and again with the alcohol. Slightly oily finish, but still enjoyable. Note: there were 2 enjoy by dates on the bottle, so this quite possibly could be older.
EDIT: had a second bottle with and enjoy by date of 07/11/13 and was much better.

Light amber head that lingers. Crisp hop aroma with light cereal notes. Wonderful grapefruit citrus explosion that gives way to malt well balanced and delicious. Crisp on the tongue and although relatively strong, it feels light.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 mikedR (353) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - APR 15, 2013
Crisp IPA. Dark yellow pour with hoppy aromas. Lighter IPA in flavor. Very nice grapefruit notes, with a pretty balanced bitterness. Interestingly, what lingers for me is malt flavor, which isn't pronounced at the front end. ABV of 7% is quite cloy, particularly since the beer has a light mouthfeel. When I think La Jolla, this beer comes to mind.
