San Diego IPA
The Sculpin IPA is a testament to our humble beginnings as Home Brew Mart. Founded in 1992, the Mart continues to be a catalyst for the San Diego brewing scene, setting the trend for handcrafted ales. Inspired by our customers, employees and brewers, the Sculpin IPA is bright with aromas of apricot, peach, mango and lemon. Its lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. This delicious Ballast Point Ale took a Bronze Medal at the 2007 Great American Beer Festival in the Pro Am category. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin is considered some of the most tasty. Something that has a sting but tastes great, sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale.

The same strong hoppy aroma as with other good IPA, but with a much milder and smoother taste. 7% strength doesn't make it taste alcohol, but just adds to all the other flavors. Definitely a good choice ale!

Clear brilliant golden under a thin sticky white head. Lovely floral and grassy nose with some earthy resin and a hoppy earthy caramalt backbone. Nice bitter forward flavor with some citric rind, floral resin, earthy freshness and a caramelly pale malt body. Really balanced with a fresh bitterness up front that calms down quick.

Poured from a 12 oz can dated August 19, 2014. Aroma is very hop forward with some light cracker malt background notes. Moderate resinous hop notes with some pine resin. Quite a bit of grapefruit and orange rind. Some light tropical and stone fruit notes. Pours a slightly cloudy, golden orange with a moderately sized, somewhat thick, off white head with average retention. Moderately high lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with some cracker and bread malt notes. Moderately high bitterness with quite a bit of grapefruit pith and orange rind. Some moderate pine resin and light tropical and stone fruit. Light alcohol notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice IPA with a lot of classic West Coast hop character. Could use a bit more stone and tropical fruit notes, but its easy drinking.

Color is orange hued with frothy white head. Smells of tropical fruits, lupilin and a bit of sweetness. Palate is medium to light with a complexity and layering to the flavor profile. Beautifully done, one well worth seeking out!

6-pack from Applejack. Golden orange and clear appearance with medium-sized, lingering white head. Citrus, tropical fruits, floral notes and light earthy tones. Crisp, fresh, hoppy and easy to drink. Top notch IPA.

One of my favorite IPA's out there. This has the aroma you enjoy just before taking that first sip giving you that overall tasting experience. Bitterness is just right for an IPA.

"right at the start i didn’t know what all the fuss was about. but the beer opened up. very. nicely. pours lighter than most, almost like a pale. in the end, the aroma and feel especially reminded me of Alesmith IPA (arguably my favorite) with the subtle but present peach/mango tropical fruit flavor going on alongside the bitter hops being the difference. very nice. hopefully one i’ll get to revisit. 2013- seems to me this is one of the best fresh. Top 3...but doesn’t seem to have much of a shelf life, even for an iPa, in bottles or kegs. 8/12 awesome on tap! "

Kristálytiszta, rézszínű italt rejteget a tengeri élőlények portréit magára öltő márka egyik leghíresebb főzete.
