4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour was murkey orange, aroma was slightly funky. The flavor was light and fruity and a medium to high level of bitterness. You really could taste the melon-like flavors. I was surprised. Nice carbonated mouthfeel, but still rich and smooth. Iíll bet this is pretty awesome in tap. Not quite as good as I had hoped and not really worth $9 for 22 oz, but pretty good nonetheless.

3.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a snifter. Big thanks to afausser for this one.
4.5 A: Hazy yellow orange color. Two fingers of thick creamy off-white head. Average retention for most of the head, but the last 1/8 inch or so sticks around for a long time. Tons of uniform lacing down the whole glass.
5.0 S: Wow! This isnít the strongest smelling DIPA Iíve had (itís up there), but it is the most harmonious mixture of citrus Iíve ever experienced. Pineapple and mango are the most intense, followed by orange, tangerine, and grapefruit. Touch of pine underneath with some floral hops in there as well.
3.5 T: The taste is a bit disappointing after the nose. Bitterness is there, but there isnít nearly as much fruitiness to balance it out. Still, there is some pineapple and some lemon. Thereís more pine and grapefruit than in the nose.
3.0 M: Lighter medium body, but it strangely lays heavy on the tongue. Could be a lot creamier. Iíd also like a heavier body. Good moderate carbonation.
3.5 D: Pretty good, but one of the reason I really like DIPAs are for the awesome creamy mouthfeels. Still, Iím glad this comes to Pittsburgh from time to time.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Sample Date: 12/11/2010 Source:BrewEngineer) Floral resiny hop aroma with underlying caramel sweetness. Mostly clear yellow golden with moderate off-white head. Big resiny hop flavor but well balanced by sweetness. Medium body and mouth. Finish is medium with resiny floral hop flavor and medium bitterness lingering.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
220z bottle poured into a tulip. No freshness info. Pours a relatively clear and bright amber, more yellow than orange. One inch of frothy foam slowly dissipates leaving good lacing. Little carbonation. Beautiful nose! Mango, pineapple, and fresh, piny hops. A hint of rich malt sweetness can be detected under it all. Medium-light bodied but also flat. Not syrupy at all though. Goes down smooth without destroying the palate. Bight and playful hops have only light resiny character. Citrus, orange blossom, and pine on the palate with almost no trace of malty heaviness. Just the way I like it! This is probably the best non imperial IPA I have ever had. I can only imagine how good this would be if it were fresh from the brewery.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
The aroma is very hoppy with a good amount of malt. The hops are both citrusy and piny. The appearance is hazy amber gold with a large head for the style. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a very nice beer.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Awesome apricot and citrus aroma, peach and coriander a little bit; appears a beautiful yellowish golden color with a nice feathery head. Tastes very light yet flavorful at the same time, lots of hops complemented by that fruity citrus. Bitterness is nothing but pleasant the whole way. Extremely light on the palate, with a thin texture and an average level of carbonation that yields a perfect finish - a sense of satisfaction and lasting flavor, but a feeling of slight thirst that another gulp satisfies. Overall you canít do much better than this beer.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle courtesy of trade from mobz24, poured into a snifter glass.
Clear golden color with frothy head. Very aromatic -- citrusy, tropical fruit flavors come through, especially pineapple, mango and grapefruit. Mainly grapefruit and more tropical fruit flavors in the taste. A bit of sweetness to start off, but then comes hoppy bitterness taste that mixes citrus, tropical fruits, piney and grassy notes and some resinous flavors. Mainly citrus and grapefruit in the finish. Light and crisp mouthfeel, good carbonation. Very long dry finish that leaves a resinous grapefruit flavor tingling in the mouth. Very drinkable and enojoyable beer worth seeking out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle poured into Duvel tulip.
Pours an undistinguished golden orange color that is fairly translucent.
Barely-off-white head is fluffy with relatively lengthy retention duration.
Nose is green apple hops, some grainy aroma along with resinous hops, and medium amount of malty sweetness. Hint of vegetable aroma as well.
Taste is piney hops on front of palate.
Grain and cereal mid palate.
Resinous hops on back palate.
Bitter finish. Finish has short duration.
Mouth feel has nice and pleasantly lively carbonation.
Overall, enjoyed the hop aroma and taste, though found this IPA, generally, a bit grainy.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at Najaís. Sampled next to Pliny. Both were incredible and very easy to drink. No harsh bitter bite whatsoever. Earthy, piney aromaís and flavors were the forefront of this bad boy. It was hard to choose the overall winner between this and Pliny. Both were outstanding.
