4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Best aroma Iíve had since Hopslam. Big grapefruit bitterness and piney hops. The foam is filmy and clustery, like sea foam. Nice oily finish. Really good, I hate Iím heading home away from this!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Light amber with a fine white head. Powerful aroma: pine, bubble gum, pineapple, tropical. Tons of bright and crisp hop flavour, dry clean hop finish. Exceptionally beautiful west coast IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I enjoyed this one, but it was different than i expected. cloudy appearance. has a very apricot/peachy sweet flavor with a big load of dry hop in the finish. i think its just personal taste, because obviously this is a well made beer, but i prefer my IPAs more on the bitter and dry end of the spectrum while this one is more bright and zingy while still having some IBUs. I will have to revisit someday, as iíve only had one 22oz bomber, but as it stands I prefer their Big Eye to this one.

Pours a clear orange with white head. Aroma or tropical and citrus fruits and some sweet notes. Taste is a nice clean assertive bitterness throughout with a caramel backbone. Pine, grapefruit, mango, and biscuity flavors. Medium bodied. Very well done IPA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2009 Bomber poured into a very clean snifter, slightly chilled. Slightly tarnished brass color with streams of healthy bubbles and a casual white cap. Very tropical nose, maybe I hould have an umbrella? Mango, passion fruit, and tangello juice dominate the stage as a sweet grain peeks out from behind the curtain. Palate actually begins dry and bitter, like the skin of stone fruit. The teeth continue to drive into the meat and hop flavor resonates. The grain seems to well up from a terra haut of lush malt and adds an incredible balance to what looks like a hop bomb. This beer drips the sweet smells and warmth of a brewery with refreshments at the end of the tour. A round hop lingers in room but doesnít f%&k with the thermostat. As good as they come.
Re-rate, 8-10. The numbers stay the same. I will say that the nose has turned the volume down with a few months in the bottle. No worries, this is still an intense experience. Last time I was obviously overwhelmed by the nose and entry. The palate is very interesting. This IPA finishes with some subtlety. Carbonation finishes smooth and the hops linger like a recessing tide. Very clean, with just the spice elements of the hops lingering. Interesting. This must be a seriously dry hopped beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bright gold pour with a thin white head that left a few spots of lacing. Bready aroma with a lot of pine and citrus hops, which lean more towards lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is very lemony, somewhat doughy, with a sharp pine bite. Light and crisp, pretty refreshing. Well carbonated. Lingering bitter finish that seems slightly abrasive. A good beer, no doubt, but Iím having trouble trying to figure out why this is highly rated. For the trouble you have to go through to get it, Iíd rather have Pliny, or even Blind Pig.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber poured into pint glasses. Pours a clear amber color with a nice white head and solid lacing through the glass. Smell is resin, pine, a bit of grapefruit, and slight alcohol. Taste is again with the resin, juicy grapefruit, and again with the alcohol. Slightly oily finish, but still enjoyable. Note: there were 2 enjoy by dates on the bottle, so this quite possibly could be older.
EDIT: had a second bottle with and enjoy by date of 07/11/13 and was much better.
