3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: Pours a little on the light side but otherwise amber. Head dissipates pretty rapidly leaving some good lacing.
S: Aroma is very fruity. Appricot... orange are the big players. Some hops but lighter.
T: Subtle fruit notes. A little bit of fruit. A little bit of malt. The bitterness seems to overwhelm the other notes and fade quickly leaving a dull bitterness.
P: Carbonation is a little aggressive. Decent flavor development.
I was so excited to try this beer! Great ratings.... picture of a sculpin (my wife totally takes care of them at the aquarium!) IPA, Ballast Point!!! But this beer was pretty disappointing. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. A little uncontrolled... doesn’t bring anything special to the table. The Big Eye IPA and the Calico Amber were way way better. I have a growler of this bad boy in the fridge so I will see if it gets better.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow! This beer is truly amazing! Bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a clear golden orange with a fairly thick white head. Scents of apple, pine, orange, and floral. Beautiful aroma. Taste is nothing short of amazing. Perfect bitterness. The closest thing I have found to the perfect IPA...yet.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy light amber with a big frothy off white head.
Aroma has lots of pineapple, pine and grapefruit.
Taste is crisp and clean, hops play first fiddle with pineapple, pine and citrus pith, grapefruit bitterness, some pilsner malt.
Medium body, medium carbonation, dry mouth feel.
Short crisp, dry and bitter after taste.
Great balance, while the malt body isn’t that big, the hops doesn’t overpower while still being very present.

On draft. Sure, this is commonly available all around the country and so ubiquitous that you don’t even notice it in the grocery store anymore. But it’s also a fantastic example of an American IPA. It’s got a really restrained malt profile, which makes it a clean, crisp hop showcase. There’s a firm bitterness mixed with some fruit and pine aromatics from the hops. Classic and really good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Kolor złoty, praktycznie klarowne.
Umiarkowana, biała, drobna piana. Niestety nie mam jeszcze lepszego szkła, które fajniej by ją wyeksponowało.
W aromacie potężne uderzenie cytrusów: grejpfrut, mandarynka, pomarańcze i limonki. W tle ziołowe i żywiczne nuty.
W oddalo ziołowe i herbaciane nuty.
Niesamowia lekkość jak na 7%.

Dark orange colour and practically no head. Complex tastes apricot, sweet hops, caramel and citrus. Medium body, light carbonation and a lasting aftertaste of apricoty hops. Quite good west coaster

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
355 ml, bottle conditioned. Golden amber, thin beige head, lively carbonation. Aroma is citrusy and bready. Medium mouthfeel, long aftertaste. Flavourwise, I think the hops have died down a bit. The bottle may be a bit old, and has lost some of its former glory. The sample for this rating is not a world class beer.

Poured it has an Amber color. Very light head and minimal carbonation. Smell is very fruity, citrus and hops. Taste is the best. Full fruity and citrus flavor with after taste of hops and spice. Smooth finish. I highly recommend to drink ice cold and relaxing on the beach kinda beer. Really good. One of my favorite IPA.
