Bottle. Orange pour, off-white head. Legit pink grapefruit on the nose, citrusy hops, hint of pine. Grapefruit is a little more subdued on the palate, but still present; hops shine through a little more. This label ainít lying.

Sampling against Habanero. Like the latter, GFruit lives up to its name. Unlike H, itís drinkable!

This is officially my favorite summertime beer ever. If I had a kegerator, this would be in it from May to September. The sharp acidy tartness of the grapefruit pairs perfectly with the citrus character of the hops in this already-amazing brew. Best treatment of a great beer in a long time.

Type: 22-oz. glass Glass: Pint mug From: Barons Market in Alpine, Calif. Price: $14.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: Nov. 16, 2014 Consumed: Nov. 16, 2014 Misc.: Bottled on Sept. 26, 2014 at 6:36 p.m. (I think) Poured a honey, caramel, mostly clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of rocky, khaki-white, foamy head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Foamy, layered lacing along the sides of the glass. Great retention on the top all the way down. A good-looking beer save the 4-to-5 fingers of foamy head. (Sight - 4.25) Smelled wet Cascade hops, caramel, grapefruit rind, grapefruit juice, grapefruit pulp, Citra hops, lime, piney, soapy notes, unknown bitter spices and 7-Up soda. (Smell - 3.88) Tasted better than the smell. Got sharp grapefruit juice, grapefruit rind and grapefruit pulp, all stronger and more flavorful than the nose. Also bitter Citra hops, pine cone, soapy malts and soda - Squirt, Mello Yellow and Adirondack Citrus Frost (oh, thatís way back). (Taste - 4.00) Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, easy finish until it hits an abrupt bitter ending. Alcohol is well-hidden. (Feel - 3.88) The effort was in the right place, but something was a tad off. Maybe Iíll change my mind after a few more, but itís pretty good. Thatís it. (Overall - 3.88) 3.95 87 B+

On tap at Ballast Point Tasting Room. Pours a pinkish light Amber. Thin white head. Aroma is all grapefruit. Slightly sweet. Lots of grapefruit ring in the flavor. Not much of an ipa left under this. Almost a Radner. But heck, still great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear Amber with white head. Nose of grapefruit, citrusy hops, a bit of sweetness. Taste is grapefruit up front, then bitter hops, and a malty finish. Bottle was not fresh, but still quite good.

Pours somewhat clear orange with a white head. Aroma snd flavor are delightful, fantastic juicy grapefruit lemony sweet citrus flavors that blend so smoothly on the palate. The bite is so nice, especially after the temperature goes up a bit.

Keg at the Little Italy tasting room, 12/11/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is big on citric sherbets, bitter grapefruit, pine, juicy citric peel, clean and fresh aromas. Taste comprises grapefruit, orange pith, floral tones, citric rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness well represented in the close. Solid IPA.

This was really good and refreshing. A lot of grapefruit and not too bitter. Nicely done.

On tap at the brewery. Clear yellow/orange pour with an off white head. Nice grapefruit hop aromas. Big tangy grapefruit notes. Effervescent. Well balanced with a sturdy malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel.
