3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer pours gold with a red hue. It has strong aroma of grapefruit and some of that sourness to balance the hops in the flavor. Really tastes like it is much less than 7% and is really easy drinking. Paired with ahi steaks and Brussel sprouts. Went amazingly well together.

12oz can gifted by AirForceHops. Thanks, Chris! Iíve had this about a month. I need to work through my ipas faster (or buy less of them). Orange brown pour with an off white head. Aroma is grapefruit, Five Alive (for the younguns out there thatís tangerine, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit juice... Popular back in the 80ís). I handnít thought of it in years when I stuck my nose in this. Amazing how smells trigger memory. Caramel backbone with a nice grapefruit flavor. Nice and juicy. Moderate grapefruit peel bitterness in the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a nice white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of intense citrus notes with light grapefruit notes. Taste is also dominated by citrus hops notes with light grapefruit notes with some residual sugar notes that are also perceptible. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Very pleasant IPA but I canít say that I noticed the grapefruit notes coming out as much as I would have hoped.

On tap at watering hole. Clear orange gold color with a minimal head. Aroma is all ruby red grapefruit with a touch of pine and malt. Taste is more of the same with the grapefruit being more present on the finish. A little sweeter than the regular sculpin but the bitterness is still there. Fun take on sculpin.

I really nice beer. The grapefruit comes a bit at the end and is pretty refreshing. That being said, I like normal sculpin a little better. I had this from a bottle.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Bottled on: 05/08/15 (I think). Pours a clear amber with a smallish beige head. The pleasing aroma features lots of juicy grapefruits, zesty citrus rinds, pine needles, peaches, apricots, and some caramel. Goes down medium to full-bodied. Some semi-sweet caramel starts things off taste-wise. A tad biscuity in the middle. Some tart peaches and apricots follow. Zesty citrus rinds and an abundance of juicy grapefruits finish things off. The end is resiny with a lingering bitterness. VERY tasty! I wish more brewers would add citrus fruits to their IPAs...

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I love Sculpin sans grapefruit, but the simple and undertone addition of the citrus really helps the hops overall. The palette can get a bit sandy after a few sips, but the aroma makes up for it when combined with the taste.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On Tap @ Kumas Too. Pour is a clear golden color with a nice thick foamy head. Really nice grapefruit and hop aroma. Taste is obviously on the bitter side, with the grapefruit pith/juice dominating. Nice floral hops, a bit of pine, and a bit of sweetness round this out well. Medium body with average carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. I had high expectations for this beer based on my like for standard Sculpin and grapefruit flavors in beers, but I came away disappointed. It tastes like they just put the bitter rind of the grapefruit in the beer. It is very astringent and not the same as other beers that achieve grapefruit flavors with hops. Not an improvement on Sculpin in my opinion.
