COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sea Monster Imperial Stout is a new version of an old favorite. This hearty stout is black as the abyss and clocks in at a whopping 10% ABV, a real monster. The flavors of roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate are complamented by a velvety smoothness from the addition of un-malted barley and oats. Colombus and Amarillo hops help to balance out the huge malt character of this flavor bomb. Be careful the alcohol is well hidden and will sneak up on you if you don’t watch out. Like most scary monsters, it can be a little intimidating, but have no fear.

A delicious impy. One of the best I’ve had this year! Aroma was thick and full of dark chocolate. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a one finger tan head. Taste was awesome. Strong roasted malt, deep rich chocolate and a slightly hoppy finish that balances out all the sweet malty goodness. Some bitter coffee emerged as it warmed and mixed nicely with the chocolate flavor. Delicious!

Pours pitch black with a tiny tan fizz. Smells roasty, coffee, hints of chocolate. Taste is roast, coffee, licorice, and hints of chocolate. Full-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Ballast Point Sea Monster Imperial Stout finishes with a crisp dryness.

Brought this bomber back from New York. Split it with my beautiful wife. Pours black with a tan head. Super boozy in smell and in taste. Smells of coffee, grapes and booze. Did I mention booze. Mouthfeel is nice and thick with just a touch of carbonation. Once again, booze, booze, booze. Enjoyable beer. Bottle - Whole Foods Bowery - New York, NY

22oz bomber. Smell is dark semi sweet chocolate, toffee, roasted dark malts. Taste is big chocolatey, lots of dark roasted malts, caramel, molasses, a touch of a vegetal thing going on in the finish. Somewhat of a solid yet nondescript impy stout. Medium to semi full palate with lingering sweet caramel and slight bitterness.
