Bomber. Pours inky black with a medium tan head with good retention. Aroma is a little muted right now--hopefully it will open up--but it’s a little doughy, a little like pepperoni pizza (WTF?), vanilla, toasted marshmallow. Taste is sweet and a little tart, finishing lightly bitter. Has a bit of an alcoholic chocolate milk flavor; tobacco/ash come out after it warms up. Mouthfeel is creamy, body is a little thinner than it should be for something of this caliber. This is good, but it seems pretty basic for an impy stout. It’s hard to believe that the same brewers who created such an unforgettable dark beer as Victory at Sea created such a pedestrian brew as this. It’s not bad--it’s actually pretty good--just a little average after tasting that aforementioned beer right before this.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark clack with brown head. Has a very faint chocolate malt and coffee aroma. A heavy body and creamy beer with coffee and thick chocolate, with some roasted malts and dark fruits. A lighter and not as strong imperial stout than most.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber: This one pours an inky, very dark brown color. There was just a touch of a brown head that didn’t linger long. Getting lots of aromas in there. Chocolate, some coffee, a bit of vanilla, maybe some dark fruits too. The taste is very good. Chocolate, some roastiness, vanilla, maybe some raisin as well as other fruits. It has a very silky mouth-feel to it. Very Nice!

pours jet back with very small head. The aroma is a little boozy, some dark chocolate and licorice. Taste is chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee with some light dark fruit on the back end. Also taste the booze. Great Imperial Stout, not a stand out though.

Kahvinruskea vaahto, tummanmakea iskevä tuoksu. Pikkuhiljaa vetäytyvä vaahto. Liukas, tylppä, kuiva ja niukan hapokas, mieto alkoholin polte. Hyvää, mutta jään kaipaamaan mehevyyttä.

22 oz Bomber. Tasted on 11/6/14. Bottle from Total Wine Dallas TX. Pours to a deep black with a dark tan tick head. The aroma has dark fruit, licorice some chocolate & a little boozy. The taste a lot of the dark fruit but was also pretty well balanced with the malt. The alcohol was not as well hidden as some other Imperial Stouts but overall was good. It was slightly too sweet for my taste but not so much that it wasn't a very good beer.
