Bottle. Poured an opaque black color with a light brown head. Smelled of plum, chocolate, and subdued cinnamon. Interesting. Medium bodied, slightly sweet, and fairly effervescent. Tasted of cola, cocoa, and toffee with a hint of vanilla.

On tap at brewery. Big a dark and viscous in the glass. Tan head. Nose is strong with roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol. Taste is lot the same. Boozy and rich. Roasted malt and some cocoa, but seemed overpowered by the alcohol. Tasted hot.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Hamiltons. Dark brown, almost black. body is thinner than an imperial stout but the carbonation helps in its texture. smells of chocolate, coffee and malt. taste is bitter up front but smooth on the finish. I’m partial to Russian imperials but this is a good oatmeal stout.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very sweet milk chocolate taste dominates the mix. Alcohol is well masked. Black in color and not hazy. Nice lingering flavor. A little viscous too. Would be perfect in a float with chocolate ice cream.

Bottle thanks to hopdog!
Dark brown, foamy tan head that races up the glass. Sweet, sugary nose, fruit and roasted malt. Flavor has more fruit, oat, perhaps licorice. Way too thin.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours pitch black and completely opaque, without even the slightest of lighter colored edges even when held to a light source. Frothy, pillowy dark cooffee-colored/beige head that has very good retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap that leaves sporadic spots of lacing.
Slighly roasty coffee aroma with lots of sweet dark chocolate, toffee, oatmeal, toast and licorice.
Deep roasted malt flavor with hints of sweet dark chocolate, oatmeal, coffee burnt toast, licorice and a nice amount of hop bitterness. Silky viscous mouthfeel with a nice amount of roastiness that isn’t over[powering and allows the oatmeal and chocolate notes to shine. ABV is pretty well masked making it very drinkable. Slightly dry finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very dark brown color with a billowy tan head that settles slowly to a fairly dense lid. Damn I lost my review. Redo, abbreviated addition. Initial sweet roasted and toasted malt along with red currants. Middle has some herbs, leather and dark cherries. Finish has a bit acidity. Linger is light, with cherries and sweet coffee. A satisfying, smooth, sweet stout. Thanks to BrockLander for sending this my way.
