Dec 10, 2007 On cask at O’Brien’s. Black pour with a brown ring of bubbles. Coffee, toasted oatmeal, walnuts, leather, and cocoa in the aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Chocolate mousse, a ton of roasted malt, cream, toffee, and a slight hop bite in the finish. Very, very nice.

Mar 20, 2008 Aggressive pour yields a monstrous beige head. The aroma is heavy rosted barley, chocolate and cream. Silky creamy, this beer gallops nicely with roasted malts, some cherry sweetness, and a dollop of bitter hops. A nice piece of velvet.

Nov 19, 2007 Growler from the brewery. What it lacked in aromas the taste made up for it. Very smooth, with hardly any noticeable alcohol. Easy drinking with tastes of chocolate, malt and cream.

Dec 14, 2007 Shared a growler with padrefan. Dark dark pour with lots of tan head. Nice Roasted chocolate and coffee. Much more roasty on the flavor with some burnt malt flavors and a bit of alcohol. Pretty darn tasty.

Mar 27, 2008 Pours black with little head, that foams up a little afterwards with a tan showing, but quickly recedes. Flavor is full, robust, nutty, slightly bitter but also sweet. You can taste more carbonation than it shows, but it goes down oatmeal, smooth and dark. Has slight notes of sesame, chocolate and oatmeal cookies.
