Jun 17, 2008 ~Pours black with thick creamy off white head. Almost looks like coke from all the carbonation.
~Strong malty, woodsy coffee scent.
~Coffee flavor with a nice bitterness.
~Creamy mouth feel. Bitter finish.
~This is a great beer. Yum!

May 31, 2008 Sample @ the brewery in Linda Vista. Pour was almost black with a small beige head that left good lacing. Some coffee and toasted aromas. Flavor was a little weak but, followed the Dry Stout suit perfectly.

May 28, 2008 Got a taster at Home Brew MArt. Black. Big, medium bubble tan head. Lots of coffee and roastiness. Initially turned me and I was dreading finishing my sample. But either after warming up, or becoming desensitized to aroma and taste, it became much better. Any way, not my bag baby.

May 23, 2008 On tap at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. Pours dark black/brown with a light cream colored head. Aroma of coffee and malt, w/ similar flavors (dominated by coffee). Finishes with a kick of alcohol @ the back of the throat. Palate is quick and not as think and creamy as other stouts. A little too carbonated. Not nearly as complex as its Imperial cousins, but a good enjoyable stout nonetheless.

May 12, 2008 On tap at Stone . Dark black brown with a tan beige head. Aromas of roasted malts. Carbonated thinnish feel in the mouth. Flavor of coffee a little chocolate and some mild hops that dont last long. OK brew.
