Taster on tap at BP Linda Vista: Pale straw color with a small white head. Aroma is sweet yellow corn and light smoke. Flavor starts sweet , kinda yellowtail like, followed by a hint of smoke and a spicy dry finish. Body is light and smooth with moderate to lively carbonation.

Pours orange yellow with foamy white head and some lacing. Aroma is of sweet malt, grass, some smoke, and some citrus. Flavor is of sweet malts, grass,citrus hops, subdued smoke, and some caramel. Has a medium body with a slightly thin mouthfeel and a semi dry, refreshing finish. Overall, a nice hybrid of a helle and a smoked that would make a great summer session beer.

Cloudy pale colour. Smoky aroma with pale malts. Balanced and very tasty. Really nice, like an American take on a smoked version of Spezial Ungespundet.

Pours gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Smoke aromas. Mild carmel and smoke front to back. Dry lasting sweet smoke finish.

Tap. Clear golden yellow pour with a thick white head. Aroma is minimal smoke with a very clean malt backbone. Taste is light smoke up front folliwed by clean, lightly toasted malt and perhaps minimal sweetness on the finish. Thirst quenching and delicious.

Tap at Library Alehouse. Pours lightly hazy gold with a large, frothy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is smoke and meat, grain and meal malt with spicy hops. Flavor is malt forward with light smoke notes, light hops and bitterness, a clean lager character with a dry finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation.

Pint, at Tylers Apex. Good aroma. Smoke, yet sourdough yeasty streak. Clean golden orange color. Small head. Minor lace. Sweet smokey flavor flavor. Light body, thin mouthfeel, smokey finish. Huh, enjoying this one... Nice aroma, flavor jumps between smoke and grass. Real drinkable.

On tap. Clear, pale yellow pour with a small, but lasting white head. Aromas are bready, straw, grainy and grassy malt. Light smoke character that is closer to leather and earth than outright smoke. Some smoked malt, maybe beechwood. Light sulfur and a hint of suntan lotion. Flavors are a bit more smokey. Smoke, meaty, bacon, leather. Nice biscuity and grainy, pils like malt roundness. Smooth. Medium carbonation, but a bit low for a Helles. Thin.

Golden yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma of toasted malt, wheat, and hint of smoke. Dry with toasted malt and wheat flavor and mild yet notable smoke ending. Very nice beer.

Clear as piss pour with tiny white head. Aroma is smoke and biscuits. Taste is breast and malt with a mild smoke finish. Good medium body.

tap-pours pale golden yellow with a small soapy white head-nose of grains lite cig smoke-spicy flavors of pale malt and spicy hops and big smoke on the finish, mostly tobacco smoke. long spicy and smokey flavors long into the finish. the smoke is there but its not over powering. a pretty decent beer here. A very well done smoke helles. usually these are way too smokey but this one is done right!
