3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
"A pretty cool hybrid type beer. A hopped up schwarz that exhibits mainly characteristics of that sttyle...dry, roasty, caramel...but is hopped not quite like a black ipa, but starting to head in that direction. Nice, unique brew."

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Lots of smoke and dark roasted grains in the aroma, long dry finish and a pretty hoppy taste. I think itís the combo of the hops and burnt that gives you the long lingering bitter. Once it warms up some chocolate and coffee come forward but itís still pretty mild.

[Tap] Pours a very dark brown color. Pinecone and good amount of roasty malt in the aroma. Toffee, molasses, milk chocolate and citrus hops in the taste. Kinda odd with the yeast choice, but not too bad. Tasting notes from 2/2014.
