Pint at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Heat in the scent. Stronger on the chili scent, not as much ginger. Pale golden yellow color, ok head and lace. Sweet hot flavor. Light body, smooth mouthfeel. Hot finish. Tasty , rephreshing with heat. Could use this in the warmer months.

I usually don’t like these types of things, but this one was different. POured a cloudy golden color with a white head. Aroma was of lots of lime, light yeast and wheat notes, and mild chili/pepper character. Flavor was very balanced, with very light heat, nice spritzy character from the lime and what seems to be chamomile with being zesty and refreshing. Me like.

On tap at ballast old grove from a taster. Color is hazy golden yellow with white head. Aroma is fruity with hints of chili peppers. Taste is fruity, then citrus (limes) with anice finish of faint chili. Better than regular version. Nice twist.

Cloudy yellow pour from a growler. Aroma hits with everything youd expect. Lots of ginger and lime, background of chilli and wheaty notes. Flavor is full and rich. tons of spice, lots of lime, light heat from the chili. And boy oh boy did this pair well with an asian noodle dish we had with it. Yes.

Tap. Pours hazy yellow with a very small white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is wheat, chili peppers, a bit of smoke, and ginger. Flavor is about the same, with the lime coming through in the flavor but not in the nose for me. Medium sweet with just a touch of spice at first, slowly building to what I would call mildly spicy by the end of the sample glass. Medium body and quite interesting, with a lot of balanced flavors and just a bit of kick.

Tap at Ballast Point. The beer pours to a murky yellow body. Aroma of ginger, lime, and wheat. It had a nice wheaty flavor with a subtle ginger and lime. Light heat. Like a tom kha gai soup.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 SDalkoholic (1768) - Chula Vista, California, USA - OCT 31, 2012
On tap @ O’Brien’s: Poured a glowing hazy yellow hue with a paper thin layer of head. The aroma was spicy and I was able to pick up a lot of the ginger as if it were the whole root shredded and diced into the beer while a faint background of lime leaf comes through as well. The flavor is intensely spicy with those spicy little red Thai chili peppers while also being punctuated with a squeeze of lemon and a taste of ginger. Wow did this stuff ever burn going down and while in my stomach—what an experience!
