3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy bright yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is funky yeasty malt with chili spice and some lime.
The flavor is funky yeasty Belgian malts with citric lime and ginger and quite a bit of chili spice in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an interesting beer with a lot of spice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bottle. Pours a light hazy amber with light head. Aromas of coriander. limes, and wheat. Flavors are same with roasted pepper and throat burn. A nice twist to a wit. This one works for some reason...

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Strong chili aroma with notes of lime citrus, wheat and ginger. Pours cloudy golden colored with a thin, non-retentive white head that also has no lacing. Starts with lime citrus and wheat flavors. Finishes smooth with a good amount of Thai chili heat as well as a little bit of ginger flavor to balance the heat a little, but the heat starts to take over with each sip. Very nice twist on their wheat.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It pours hazy golden orange with a patchy white head. The aroma has ginger, meaty peppers, lime and more peppers. I donít get much beer on the aroma, but itís certainly intriguing. It has a fairly light body and has semi sharp carbonation. The taste starts with the peppers up front style, but the wit portion is there with smooth wheat, citrus and mild ginger. The finish is clean and snappy. Pretty tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Chili and ginger aromas. Pepper skin, ginger and caramel upfront turning quickly to warm chili and citrus through the lasting finish. Not a lot of complexity, but I like the heat.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Lucky Turtle, served in a flight. Pours a clear pale bright gold color with a small white head that settles into a ring and some wisps of film while leaving ropes of lace in the glass. Notes of chiles, pale malts, straw, grass, stone fruit, lime, wheat, earth, and ginger. Medium-bodied, with a spicy, clean, dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good variant. I was a bit worried, based on the wildly mixed results of their fruited/spiced variants so far this year.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
As a big Ballast Point fan this is not one for me. The heat is there and lingers but I am not sure the beer is big enough to carry it off.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ the brewery. Hazy lemony yellow, whispy white head. Aroma is striking perfumey chilli, very aromatic. Flavour is the same, very floral, with a spicy vegetal heat that lingers deep in the throat. The best of Ballast Pointís chilli variants IMO.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #1553 - 20.03.2015 - Birthday Brew Tour Stop #2 - On tap at Ballast Point. Pours a golden straw colour with a white foam that bubbles away quickly. Aroma is thai chili sauce, peppers, lime. Taste is quite smooth, light witbier qualities, mild sweetness, and its as though you dredged a Belgian wit through that inevitable sauce pool at the bottom of your basket of Thai chili wings. Predictably spicy and delicious.
